wolf guard termies that dont have wolf stuff?

is it legal to have wolf guard terminators that just have basic terminator armor, without wolf pelts, claws, or other stuff like that? or for them to be space wolves do they need to have that stuff

There is nothing that causes that to be illegal, it just don't look great. I assume you're thinking about using the AoBR termies? If so pick up one box of space wolf marines and use the bits from that.

The only thing technically required is that they be terminator-ish models (ie. not in power armor or less) and have a reasonable facsimile of the weapon you purchased.

 

The only thing WYSIWYG really applies to is that your opponent knows what he is facing (armor, weapons, character-wise).

 

Any base terminator model will do for a wolf guard in that style of armor, no problem. And later on, if you want to "wolf them up", you can break out all sorts of things to make them proper Sons of Russ. :P

Like Brother hmk17 said, aslong as your opponent knows your playing Space Wolves everything is fine.

 

I used the termie models from the black reach set and just painted them the wolves colour with the shoulder pads, recently I started to give them pelts with green stuff.

 

So aslong as you have them painted the right colours there shouldnt be a problem.

As long as they're painted in Space Wolfy colours and wearing the right armour it's fine.

Having said that, if you buy one Wolf Guard terminator box you'll have loads of bits you stick on cheaper eBay termies...
