Hi all,

Tonight I'm writing the first time on this forum to share with you the unfortunate news that Edward Wickes, who you all knew as Brother Edward, the owner of this site, lost his life yesterday. He was my best friend.

I dont know what is going to happen next. I will speak with his family tomorrow as I had a lot of knowledge into his projects. But I fear that more than likely his credit cards will be canceled and the next time the host goes to dip for their fees, this site may be shut down. I don't know much about how Edward ran this site. I helped him transition to a Mac earlier this year, but I didn't see any files or settings regarding this site so he may have had it built on commission. If I can, I will try to work out a deal to keep the site for him; but everything's topsy turvy right now.

I wish you to know that Blood Angels and his friends here were always important to him. I mean, I'm a Chaos player and I love'em more than you can squeeze pus outta a Nurgling; but I would never tattoo myself with that. But Edward did. He had the whole blood drop with wings across his back, a Terminator badge thingy on one shoulder and the BA logo on another. But I respected his dedication. And he enjoyed you all.

If an admin wants to contact me or someone has an has on how to keep the site going or something for me to pass on to the family; you may contact me at cword@mac.com and I will.

Take care.

i just posted in his thread the other day on a spacewolves forumabout his work on a full sized spacemarine suit. its sad to see him go and he will be missed. My prayers are with him and his family especialy as they did have difficultys before this. God Bless.

I am shocked and upset.

I've known Brother Edward since the old GW Forums and way before we made the first SWC Site.

He was one of the nicest guys ever in the hobby and will be sorely missed.

Unbelievable that now two of my close friends in the hobby have passed at such young ages.

Brimstone and Brother Edward now both together gaming in the hereafter!

RIP both of you.

My condolences to Brother Edward's family and friends.

When I began Blood Angels about 8 years ago (more or less) Ex Libris Mortis was my "go to" source for advice. I send my condolences to Edward's Family and I would like to thank him for the warm welcome and great support I recieved through his website. Thank you Brother Edward, you will be missed.

Cannot believe it. Brother Edward was an inspiring figure. When I started back in the day any questions were answered and advice offered swift and accurate.

Thoughts and prayers go out to his family.

rest in peace brother, gone but NEVER forgotten

As many of you Brothers already said, when I started BA's those few years ago, it was Ex Libris Mortis I got my first bits of knowledge and love for the Red Armours from. At that time I even made myself, just for the fun of it, from bitz that were left from my tacticals and bikes, a small diorama of gun cleaning marine with "Brother Edward" on the base...So, that little piece of plastic is my sign of admiration for that man.

May the Emperor and the Archangel welcome him warmly and condonlences to all his close ones.
