Prince of Ecstasy
Greetings, brethren! I've been searching frantically for songs and artists that embody Slaanesh's traits. Something rapturous, seductive, pulsing... perhaps electronic music? Similar to how Noise Marines employ throbbing, deafening sound. Maybe something a bit more dark, like black metal could relate to Slaanesh's sadistic side. What do you think? fivepointedstar
Soulidium, or Eroticide.. both are on Myspace.com Gwar, and Cannibal Corpse are also Slanneshy music Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/209752-slaaneshi-themed-music/#findComment-2502183 Share on other sites
Prince of Ecstasy
I looked up Eroticide and instantly thought of Slaanesh. :P Those costumes are outrageous! Their symbol's pretty neat too. Reminds me of Dark Eldar. I've listened to both Gwar and Cannibal Corpse; they fit the bill pretty well. vmpkitten
This is Persephone 66 borrowing her girlfriend's computer. There might be a reason my Noise Marines are AngelSpit themed. "Let them Eat Distortion" at the least seems to be a fitting battle cry for them. Check them out Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/209752-slaaneshi-themed-music/#findComment-2502641 Share on other sites
Muskie
Turbonegro perhaps... Heck scissor sisters or the Rocky Horror picture soundtrack, I also like A Clockwork Orange soundtrack and Russ Meyer movie soundtracks were popular background music in my old gaming group... Muskie
Turbonegro even had videos before they broke up do to a mental breakdown and too much drug use in the emergency room of a hospital in Milan I believe... Hyaenidae
Personal opinion: Bring Me The Horizon. Sick, sick band. I can imagine this album pounding out of sound cannons, shattering bone and pulverizing brains. Son_of_GAR
I want to put an iHome somewhere in my EC army (im thinking of my land raider) but for music/bands: Crystal Castles, Zombie Nation, Thou, Bring Me the Horizon, Suicide Silence or maybe Til' Midnight. Personaly, for my EC, im leaning towards Crystal Castles Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/209752-slaaneshi-themed-music/#findComment-2507707 Share on other sites
Maladict
And how could I have forgotten Combichrist? Or for that matter, Velvet Acid Christ. And then there's Aphex Twin, if you're looking for music that feels like something forcibly rewiring your brain for its own twisted ends. Prince of Ecstasy
Lol nice, guys. On a slightly different note, is there any heavy metal out there that relates to the Emperor's Children pre-Heresy? (with their pursuit of perfection and military doctrine, etc.) Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/209752-slaaneshi-themed-music/#findComment-2514870 Share on other sites
Hyaenidae
Lol nice, guys.On a slightly different note, is there any heavy metal out there that relates to the Emperor's Children pre-Heresy? (with their pursuit of perfection and military doctrine, etc.) I got this one. Hatebreed, Earth Crisis, Casey Jones, Deadlock, Bury Your Dead ('Beauty and the Beatdown' album), the list goes on. Numero Uno would have to be Earth Crisis's "Gormorrah's Season Ends" This album is perfect. Nerd Pride, Hardcore Pride! Persephone 66
How about the Genitorturers? Or London After Midnight? I love the Genitortures! Gen used to be a regular at the goth night club I used to frequent. Years ago. I feel kinda old talking about it. And how could I have forgotten Combichrist? Or for that matter, Velvet Acid Christ. And then there's Aphex Twin, if you're looking for music that feels like something forcibly rewiring your brain for its own twisted ends. Great bands. Possibly add CellDweller to the list? Saw them (well, him) recently at DragonCon. Epic show. My girlfriend got a CD and had Klayton autograph it. He's a pretty sweet guy. Chimerical
Sorry, but the true followers of Slaanesh are way beyond metal and electronica. They listen to noise. (youtube link) Or was it avant-classical? It's one or the other, I'm sure. :ermm: Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/209752-slaaneshi-themed-music/#findComment-2525078 Share on other sites
Muller
Oh come on guys, Sabaton? They're weak, nothing for a Chaos devotee to enjoy. Now "Sexcrement", now that's something along the lines of Slaanesh (the lyrics at least) Otherwise "Sunn O)))"... talk about a wall of sound. biadetic
I like to think that Nine Inch Nails - Closer would be right up there alley :) Or, Jace Everett - Bad Things (The theme to True Blood).
