Problems with pic upload

Hail brothers of the Fang,

as I tried to upload the pics of my completed painting vow yesterday, it said that a link to photobucket was not allowed by the admin :) . Now is that new, or just for the time until the board switches to the new 3.0 or whatever it's called?

Because it worked well enough before and I made my account specifically for beeing able to post pics here, any ideas?

Bulweih,

I don't know anything about your problems with Photobucket, but my recommendation would be for you just to store your photos here on the B&C instead. If your digital images are on your computer's hard drive, just go up there where you've got the menu bar that has these options: "My Blog · My Albums · My Controls · View New Posts · My Assistant · My Friends · 0 New Messages", and click on the one that I bolded that says "My Albums". You can create albums there (the process is pretty intuitive - just click the "New Album" button at the top right), then upload however many pictures you want from your computer hard drive to the album. Then, when you want to share a picture in a thread, just copy the "image link" which is found to the right of each picture in your album. Then click the Insert Image button when you are posting into a thread and paste the image link information.

That should do you.

Thanks brother,

I managed to post said pics after an episode of "try and fail, try and succeed" in quite the same way you described, but thanks nonetheless.

That just never happened before and other brothers didn't seem to have these problems, so I wondered if I am missing out on sth..
