recon0321
OK well i have fixed some of the major fluff issues thanks to those that contributed and helped me see the light of the emperor and see the error of my way hope this is better and up to par well have at it...... Knights of Tartosa Knights of Tartosa are a chapter of the Adeptus Astartes created during the 3rd founding by the High Lords of Terra they have crusaded to bring the Emperors light to the farthest reaches of the galaxy. Origins Having been created from the Gene-Seed of Rogal Dorn, the chapter had a hefty reputation to uphold. They were created from a vanguard of veterans from a group of Imperial Fists. Some say chosen others say banished because of radical thinking but regardless they were led by a Veteran Sgt. Know simply as Bernarde . Little is know about the Veteran Sgt. other than when he was tasked with the creation of the new chapter. he immediately obeyed and knew the emperor would guide his hand is all things. He was given: 1 command squad including chaplain librarian apothecary champion and standard bearer 2 ten man tactical squads 1 assault squad 1 devastator squad 1 ten man scout sniper squad with Veteran Sgt. Crixus He was also given a barely space worthy battle barge “Ark of the Imperium” He was also given a letter embossed with the gene siglet of the High Lords of Terra with authorization to proceed to the Forge world of Accatran. With authorization to equip himself with everything he deems necessary to pursue his holy crusade in the name of the emperor and the machine god. Upon arrival on the surface of Accatran, Bernarde was given a whole battle company’s worth of supplies including various Mks of armor and weapons. Including precious few suits of tactical dreadnought armor. 1 dreadnought Sarcophagus as well as variations of the Rhino STC platform. The adepts of Accatran also repaired the Ark as it had know become known and trained a 2 of Bernarde’s marines as Techmarines. During prayer one night the chaplain came to Bernarde and said the primarch had spoke to him in a dream and said they should be called the Knights of Tartosa and take up the Imperial fist icon and start a new crusade near the Dominion of Storms which is known for its high activity of Ork populace. Acebaur
This fits the IF much better, including the units you are starting with. IF are seige masters and prefer long range, so snipers and Dev squads are the order of the day. The only other thing I see is that usually Techmarines are trained on Mars, though I'm not an expert on the Mechanicum so I don't know how rigid this is. Now you need to go and use the SM Painter and show us what the color scheme is! :P Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/209844-knights-of-tartosa/#findComment-2503332 Share on other sites

Aqui
Hi :tu: Just a few points for you to consider (bearing in mind I'm nowhere near finishing my IA either yet, so feel free to disregard my comments ;) ) Knights of Tartosa Knights of Tartosa are a chapter of the Adeptus Astartes created during the 3rd founding by the High Lords of Terra they have crusaded to bring the Emperors light to the farthest reaches of the galaxy. If this be the case, in what way are they radical? Are they unlike the Fists (and most of their successors in that the don't follow the Codex strictly perhaps? Also (and I could be wrong), but I would have thought that when a new Chapter is created a Captain would become Chapter Master. He was given: 1 command squad including chaplain librarian apothecary champion and standard bearer 2 ten man tactical squads 1 assault squad 1 devastator squad 1 ten man scout sniper squad with Veteran Sgt. Crixus He was also given a barely space worthy battle barge “Ark of the Imperium” Is there a reason why the Ark was barely functioning? Was it the only one available? Was the fact that the Chapter (if I've read it correctly) was to become a Crusading Chapter an element in the decision to give it to them? (ie the Chapter would have to ensure that damages to the ship would have to be repaired by them and the best way to get to know the workings of a ship is to get in there and take a look?) He was also given a letter embossed with the gene siglet of the High Lords of Terra with authorization to proceed to the Forge world of Accatran. This bit I'm a little hazy on. Your Chapter was given only a Battle Company's worth of equipment? Will your Chapter be a full size one, or is it going to be smaller such as the Salamanders (Who have 6 Companies than 10)? Is it going to take them a short or long time to get to that strength, due to constantly travelling and not having a home world to recruit from? I'm also not sure, but as far as I can remember all Marines submitted for Tech training have go to Fabled Mars (again I could be wrong) During prayer one night the chaplain came to Bernarde and said the primarch had spoke to him in a dream and said they should be called the Knights of Tartosa and take up the Imperial fist icon and start a new crusade near the Dominion of Storms which is known for its high activity of Ork populace. Does the name Tartosa have any significance? If so what is it? I know you have other things to include, but I wouldn't mind seeing: A few notable Chapter Characters Tactics - Do they favour Close combat troops (jump pack, bikes), or are they in favour of heavy weapons - Land Raider variants etc. Motto/Creed - What do they believe in? Do they follow the tenets of the Venerable Dorn? Or are they more flexible? Hope that all makes sense (and hasn't come out as just one big question about your Chapter) Am looking forward to seeing more ;) Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/209844-knights-of-tartosa/#findComment-2504450 Share on other sites
