Maximus-92
So it's been a long time between doing any hobby. I moved overseas for a year but now I'm back in Australia and I have access to my Warhammer again. So I thought I might post a few pictures of he latest additions to my wolf army! enjoy This one is from when the model was a WIP but its just a close up to show the tattoo work i did on the head. Was quite pleased with how it turned out. Thanks for checking it out C&C welcome as always. I have a couple other Thunderwolves which are in the works and will post more pics as things progress.Max Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/209873-maximus-army-blog/page/3/#findComment-4275457 Share on other sites
Wispy
Interesting weapon. Not sure you want a lopsided counter weight on your double-edged halberd, though! Amarog
Interesting weapon. Not sure you want a lopsided counter weight on your double-edged halberd, though! to the contrary, i think how he's holding it is to do the job for which it was intended. Imagine a hedge trimmer if you will ... He can charge through horde armies holding it much as he is just slicing through enemy after enemy >< nice work brother! Maximus-92
Hi guys. Quick update. I managed to complete and base the Thunderwolf pack. Here they are. What do you guys think? I'm happy with them, i just need to do couple of little things to the bases and i'll be happy to call them 100% complete. In other news, I have a big tournament coming which is very strict on WYSIWYG so I'm furiously painting up new grey hunters with chainswords drawn so its clear they have close combat weapons. I will post some WIP shots later when they are a little closer. Also in the works are some final touches on a Land Raider that I did about 3/4 of the work on and forgot about for several years, as well as the finishing touches on some missile totting Long Fangs. Its a lot of Hobby and it needs to be done by Febuary 6th, so expect some more updates soon! Maximus-92
Work continues on my 1350 tournament list! Here are three close combat grey hunters i painted up this week. They join a pack which I painted up about 5 years ago, there's a group shot at the end. Up close and in person the difference in quality is very obvious but In photos and on the tabletop they look like a cohesive enough unit for me. And here is what I'm working on right now. Three Skyclaws to join the unit of five I posted here a while back. They will be led by the JP Wolfpriest I posted here even further back. I got creative with the basing. I also experimented with more tattoos for the bald models. That's all I have so far. Still to come is a long fang pack and one more Rune Priest on Thunderwolf (Counts as bike) model. There will also be one more 5 man pack of grey hunters and finally the whole army will be re-based to have them match the thunderwolf cav bases i did already. C&C welcome as always.Max. Amarog
great work again. Nice idea for the skyclaw bases. it may be the pictures tbh but are you using any washes over your guys hair? I tend to whack on a good coat of agrax over pretty much all hair colours and it works quite nicely. again it could just be the pics not showing it up .. :) Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/209873-maximus-army-blog/page/3/#findComment-4283151 Share on other sites
Maximus-92
Yeah they are washed and highlighted now, the skyclaws wee a WIP when I took the photos. The grey hunters at the top were already done though but the pics are not so great. I'm gonna try and requisition a nice camera once everything is 100% Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/209873-maximus-army-blog/page/3/#findComment-4283155 Share on other sites
Maximus-92
Another quick WIP update. This is my Rune Priest on a counts as bike! Love running this guy with biomancy and a pack of thunderwolves. Only wish it were a real wolf and he could find a storm shield somewhere. Had a lot of fun painting this model. Still not complete, the thunderwolf needs its eyes and teeth painted and a couple of other little finishing touches. So my 1350 list is almost completely painted and properly based. Looks like everything will be done for the tournament this weekend! C&C welcome as always. Max. Maximus-92
Currently working on building an Iron Priest for the my puppies. Here's where i'm at so far,I'm waiting on a Techmarine servo arm to mount on his back and then he should be ready for a paintjob. This was a really simple conversion, just a simple kitbash with some minor greenstuff gap filling.
