Jerre
Is it correct that blood talons are not dreadnought close combat weapons? So only base strength ? Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/209898-question-about-blood-talons/ Share on other sites

Brother Theophantus
Yep but remember as lightning claw attacks you get re-rolls on the wounds. Chaplain Gunzhard
And if you successfully rolled for 'Red Thirst', are a DC dread, or are within 6" of a Priest you get Furious Charge (S-7)... but even with S-6 you still wound most things on 2+. Zealadin
Yep Str6 (or 7 with FC) and the amazing rolling wounds rule! As people have also said anything that is not a tank is pretty fair game, although obviously there are still units or models that a Blood Talon Dread isn't ideal against. Jerre
But as soon as I get one weapon destroyed, both the lightning claw and blood talons rules are out the window? Thanks for the responses! Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/209898-question-about-blood-talons/#findComment-2504039 Share on other sites
Morticon
Nope- its always a lightning claw- so once one of the pair is wrecked, its still a lightning claw, it just loses the ability to multi-kill.
