Vulkan Hestan Count-as using the real model

Well heres the model I use for Vulkan Hestan for my fire falcons chapter.

He's painted as a master of the forge for fluff purposes

I love the scale cloaks and the lightning efect n the weapon, but the bronze and blue fire seem to be putting it off for me, although I can't put my finger on it :S

Its a pretty big contrast.

 

Personally I would have converted him a bit more to be less salamander-ey, but kudos on the work thus far.

 

From here the face/hair looks a little flat/dull so I'd recommend working on that a bit more, and highlighting your reds to get a stronger colour.

Should I use blood red to highlight?

All my models have blue flames, although I might make the ones on here a bit lighter.

Didn't really want to convert such a nice model, and some of the work that needed to be done looked quite tricky

Nothing ventured, nothing gained! A good adage to live by!

 

I'd use a 1:1 of scab to blood red, blood red, 1:1 blood red to blazing orange personally. I like striking reds myself :yes:
