Judaz
Hey all. I was on the toilet reading the usual stuff I read in there, the 40k rulebook and our codex and when I read the rules for hit-and-run I got this vision of Dante and DC running 3d6" towards the desired enemy. Have anyone tried running Dante with some boys in black? I know they are damn expensive with JP's, but if they get no scatter and then be able to hit-and-run with boltguns all over the battlefield... What do you guys think, do I have the "oooh shiny" syndrome or is it actually a good idea to try out? Lanfear
the DC doesnt lose Rage, so they should not be able to move away from the enemy. Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/209999-dante-and-dc/#findComment-2505312 Share on other sites
Morollan
the DC doesnt lose Rage, so they should not be able to move away from the enemy. Except there is nothing in the Rage rule that prohibits them from doing so. Judaz
Ya, hit-and-run is not in the movement phase so it should work. Also it's not that cheesy, they are raging, but they can still find a better target to attack. You can also charge to another enemy than the closest enemy if you can. TrentL
We had a big talk about this locally at our boards, and one guy said that Hit and Run happens in the Consolidation phase. And rage says that you must consolidate towards the closest enemy. Thats about the last of the argument Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/209999-dante-and-dc/#findComment-2505488 Share on other sites
Brother Landrain
We had a big talk about this locally at our boards, and one guy said that Hit and Run happens in the Consolidation phase. And rage says that you must consolidate towards the closest enemy. Thats about the last of the argument Except that... Hit and Run... is NOT consolidation. And there is no "Consolidation phase" Consolidation occurs and requires you to be NOT locked in combat. Hit and Run can ONLY happen if you ARE locked in combat. Hit and Run is thus not restricted by Rage. Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/209999-dante-and-dc/#findComment-2505501 Share on other sites
BLACK BLΠFLY
Hit and Run is not a consolidation move. The enemy unit left unengaged can make a consolidation move. 0b  Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/209999-dante-and-dc/#findComment-2505502 Share on other sites
