MRCHAOS
[Edit] Instead of creating another post I thought I would just stick all my Flesh Tearer stuff in here! I dont know why but the stock Seth model just does not do it for me, so I thought I would make my own. Does he look like Seth though???? Would you know who he was straight away if I plonked him onto the table, let me know! http://i148.photobucket.com/albums/s26/MRCHAOS001/Space%20Marines/DSC01298-1.jpg http://i148.photobucket.com/albums/s26/MRCHAOS001/Space%20Marines/DSC01357.jpg
surelock
I like it overall, very nice paint. The sword looks to be VERY VERY long(possibly even unwieldy long) only real comment. P.S. I made my own Seth as well but I used an huge chainaxe instead of the sword.
Leardinal
In every game I have played, as long as you specify what a model is before the game gets going, the opponent usually lets you do it. I sometimes forget to point something small out, and usually my opponent just nods because it is something like an extra Infurnus Pistol that I marked out on the army list but don't have WYSIWIG. For example, I have 4 assault marines totting around bolt guns because I don't have enough melta guns and have not bought any more, I am also coming up with fluff about my priests because I used the sanguinary guard kit to make them and they don't have tools of an apothecary. I have a friend who plays nids, and in one game he left a hand full of gaunts at home and we let him proxy them with coins I never liked the seth model either, I don't like marines without helm and he appears to be staring open mouthed as a butterfly goes by while he was in mid swing. You model is awesome. I love the company champion shoulders, and the sword looks about right for a rending two handed chain sword. I would actually suggest working away the grenade in his hand. That way he appears to have swung with his sword, but is now about to sock someone in the face, which is what his rules says he does. I might not think "seth" immediately, but if you put him down and said: "he is seth," I would look at him and go "yep."
MRCHAOS
Thanks for the replies guy's I would actually suggest working away the grenade in his hand. That way he appears to have swung with his sword, but is now about to sock someone in the face, which is what his rules says he does. Having a good look at him this is exactly what I did. ;) I also did not like the chainsword it was a bit bent at the end plus you could still see the join mark, but the length was fine I think it was just the angle that the photo was taken makes it look realy too long. So I got rid of that and changed it for a more Imperial looking one, plus I changed the brass colour from the shoulder pads and added a purity seal, as he just looked (I dont know) just a bit chaos warrior'ish. The length of the blade is just smaller than the original one I had, but still looks big enough to be two handed. I know hes still work in progress here but its the only photo I have of him where it shoes the colours well. http://i148.photobucket.com/albums/s26/MRCHAOS001/Space%20Marines/DSC01373.jpg Here he is finished but quite a dark photo. http://i148.photobucket.com/albums/s26/MRCHAOS001/Space%20Marines/DSC01388.jpg And last but not least I could'nt help myself! :D http://i148.photobucket.com/albums/s26/MRCHAOS001/Space%20Marines/DSC01414.jpg Seth about to smack a Berzerker in the face! That will teach you to roll a 1 http://i148.photobucket.com/albums/s26/MRCHAOS001/Space%20Marines/DSC01413.jpg "Cough" This a quick drawing I did of my Seth in 5 mins! :)

Firedrake28
Cool conversion. Always liked the idea of Seth with a helm. :)
Crynn
I really like your Seth model mate, I agree much nicer than the gw model. I love the grittness youve captured and the fact his IQ drastically increased and he put on a helmet haha. I like his weapon too the yellow really adds to the model however while i prefer that wepon to your original one i thing a double bladed weapon would have been preferable. Also I think that using a pair of legs from the DC sprue may have added some extra nice detail to the lower half of the model. I'm being very picky here justs trying to give some constructive thoughts but not to take away from the fact that youhave made a nice simple conversion with a nice paint job to boot. You should be really happy with that piece. Regards Crynn
MRCHAOS
I just could not put him down, I dont know I think I have that problem when I keep looking at my figures and think if I change this or ad that he will look better! Does anyone else have this problem with there models! CRYNN  My Seth has gone a bit mad and dropped his helm doh! I can now look at him and think there's nothing else I can do to him, so this is my truely finished Seth! http://i148.photobucket.com/albums/s26/MRCHAOS001/Space%20Marines/DSC01553.jpg http://i148.photobucket.com/albums/s26/MRCHAOS001/Space%20Marines/DSC01514.jpg And to proove it I even painted up a squad! http://i148.photobucket.com/albums/s26/MRCHAOS001/Space%20Marines/DSC01569.jpg

Leardinal
While I did like the helm, the blood makes up for it in a sort of...violently angry sort of way. Now I just have to imagine that the opponent rolled so many ones that Seth chucked hi his helmet at them and then went vampire on his neck

I know you say youve finished but I think you should get some rope or chain like pieces and use them to stick the helmet on his side so he actually carries it with him and the the model would be just.. perfect. MRCHAOS
Awsome talons on that dread man! Would love to know how you did it I got the idea from a B&C member in the "Post Dreadnaught here topic" Its simply the spikes from the Ram you get I think from the Chaos vehicle sprue
arcticcanadian
So far looking good and your progress is coming along quite nicely, the only question I would have for you is the shoulder pads on Gabriel. I've seen them every so often and would like to know what you had to do to attempt such a feat? If you could let me know I would greatly appreciate it :tu:
Whitefireinferno
Hey Arctic, Those pads are from the Command Squad box. Oh and to MRCHAOS I like them so far But One thing I think would make the non-DC members look better would be to make the Chest Eagles black instead of the same colour as the rest of the armour.
