Neisseria
Bump for some more comments on the IA itself. How am I doing? Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/210555-obsidian-tears/page/2/#findComment-2514733 Share on other sites
elohimalpha
Love the idea of the Chaplains taunting the spirits of their enemies - fits perfectly with those creepy suckers. I also like the concept of honoring the fallen, but if the Obsidian Tears are around for any length of time, the Chapter Master is going to be doing a lot of reading and very little ass-kicking. The tactic of "playing dead" seems interesting; I can picture how surprised those orks would be when they thought it was lootin time! Neisseria
Good point about the CM, although at the moment they haven't been around for too long and even once they have been, I don't think it'd take up too much time. After all, Space Marines spend quite a lot of their time training, praying and not specifically kicking ass unless they're called upon to do so... There's probably enough room to reshuffle some of his appointments, so to speak :D especially given the importance they place upon this ritual. Playing dead comes from the idea that they're sitting on an old Necron Tomb World and also a game I played with an Imperial Guard friend of mine, against a tide of Orks. My Captain held back until late in the battle and then "cleansed" an entire table quarter of Orks, jump-packing from combat to combat (being very lucky with his rolls) while the Orks were stuck chewing through ranks of Guardsmen! Good times. Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/210555-obsidian-tears/page/2/#findComment-2514941 Share on other sites

Too true; I guess Space Marines don't exactly spend a lot of time sleeping . . .
