Scouts, OBEL, wolfguard and transports question.

So looking at the rules there are quite a few reasons for and against this, as the wolfguard joining them is part of the unit for all intents and purposes it would make sense that they could use his "ride" and therefore it is their dedicated transport and could outflank in it (obviously they could not scout or infiltrate as these are not allowed with a dedicated transport).

So what's the verdict on this, legal, dubiously legal or illegal?

A Wolf Guard joins the Scout Squad, losing his "ride" as he is no longer part of the Wolf Guard entry, but rather the Wolf Scouts.

As Wolf Scouts have no transport option, they cannot start off outflanking or OBEL in one.

so, in my opinion, funny but illegal.

My question is who's dedicated transport is it then? If I buy my wolfguard a dedicated transport and they all split off to units, can no one ride in the tank at that point?

Does it become a quasi heavy support/free choice that anyone can jump into? Does it become a dedicated transport for one unit that you choose that one of the WG left went to? Or is it a literally a dedicated transport for... no one. Sounds kinda lame to me.

A Wolf Guard joining a unit becomes part of that unit for all intents and purposes unless otherwise noted (see Berserk Charge). Wolf Scouts are not allowed dedicated transports ergo the Wolf Guard joining said Wolf Scout unit is not allowed his dedicated transport.

As has been pointed out, they just become floating dedicated transports that can be used by anyone allowed as long as they do not start the game in them.
