Khavos
Anyone know of any lists out there that run The Sanguinor? Just trying to get an idea of how to field him at various point ranges. Drachnon
I wouldn't try fielding him at low point games. The general idea I would suggest when fielding him is a lot of assault marines. Normal assault marines get effectively the biggest increase in power from his boost compared to points spend. On the other hand they have less access to power weapons/fists then some of the other squads we can field. Since the Sanguinor becomes better when there's a lot of models around him I also suggest running a honour guard with jump packs next to him adding a 6 inch feel no pain/furious charge bubble next to the 6 inch +1 attack bubble. In the end if would end up something like this: 1000 points: Sanguinor army Sanguinor 275 Points Honour guard Jump packs Power weapon Power fist Chapter Banner Total =235 Points Troops: Assault squad #1 +2 squad members Power fist Meltagun Total =135 Troops: Assault squad #2 +2 squad members Power fist Meltagun Total =135 Assault squad #3 +1 squad member Power weapon Melta bombs Meltagun Total =130 Points Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/210696-sanguinor-lists/#findComment-2508929 Share on other sites

The squad will be better against meq and hoard. Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/210696-sanguinor-lists/#findComment-2509014 Share on other sites
Zid
Sanguinor is pretty cool as a force multiplier... but personally I prefer mephiston for the points. I guess sanguinor could be pretty awesome if you built a list around him, hes damn hard to kill. But otherwise he can die by making him make a lot of saves... with T4, hes pretty easy to wound. I suppose my question, really, is how to build that list around him. Is it an all JP list with plenty of bodies around him for cover? Is it a LR rush that he can hide behind?
