Hiro_Protagonist
What is the Red Corsairs symbol anyway? I'm guessing they've changed it from the old red X over your old chapter's symbol?
chaplain belisarius
its a claw sorta thing...
Hiro_Protagonist
Thanks. Would one of the Imperial/Crimson fists conversion packs work?
chaplain belisarius
no..its more of a paw/animal claw rather than a fist...but thanks for the suggestion! :)
Hiro_Protagonist
Looks like you'll be stuck free-handing or green stuffing it then.

Hiro_Protagonist
Just take it as a challenge! I used to have shoulder pads (1k sons) then they discontinued them! At least you're starting from scratch, I've got to try and replicate the old ones! :)

Captain Tezdal
Whatever happened to the X's on their shoulders marking out their Imperial markings?
Hiro_Protagonist
They must have changed it when they got a special character. Maybe the X's were just when they newly joined?
TheDarkApostle
The Claw is the symbol of the Astral Claws. Not the Red Corsairs. Now that the original Red Corsairs are made up of the remnants of the Astral Claws... TDA
Hiro_Protagonist
So, the symbol did change when Huron took over?
Narse
I've been having good luck with Resin casting of Shoulder pads. So, instead of doing 50 shoulder pads you need to do 1 well, or obtain 1 official shoulder pad. Here's an article. Link.
Hiro_Protagonist
Looks like an option. Time to hit the hobby stores!
TheDarkApostle
So, the symbol did change when Huron took over? Huron was always in charge. He was the Chapter Master before they turned, and he was the Chapter Master after they turned, then he formed the Red Corsairs from the remnant of his forces. Brother Nihm
but im not much of a painter...:verymad:It's really not that hard, especially because it's all black. You just need to go for it, e.g. toss yourself out there and use reference material. If all else fails, there is this

You'll never know till you try. Plus everyone respects an attempt. Even if it doesn't turn out great, it still shows your dedication to the hobby. :verymad:
