Brother Dakath
So I don't have my rulebook handy and I'm trying to think of a list for my Word Bearers and was wondering if a character can deep strike along with a unit that is also deep striking, not a retinue. I asked my friend and he says it's up to your opponent. I think this would be listed clearly in the rules. Any comments? stinkenheim
Assuming the character has an ability which would allow him to deep strike (TDA for example) then yes he can join the unit being held in reserve and arrive via DS. Brother Dakath
Thanks for the reply! You wouldn't be able to tell me where it says that in the rule book would you? I know some real rules tyrants at my store and I just want to be able to head off an arguement while we search through our BBBs. stinkenheim
p 94. Under 'Preparin Reserves' 3rd Paragraph. 'First he must specify to the opponent if any of his ICs left in reserve are joining a unit, in which case they will be rolled for and will arrive together, or not in which case they will count as seperate units when rolling for reserves.' So for example you have a chaos lord in TDA and a squad of termies and you want them to DS together. You hold the termies in reserve and then say this guy is joining them and they are deepstriking.
