Marshal Wilhelm
pg. 62 first bullet, in the second sentence that has "50%" in it. Very good. Well, we'll have to take that out of our games now :jaw: Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/211163-who-does-this/page/2/#findComment-2513140 Share on other sites
Stormbrow II
I was delighted to see that but doesn't the Pack Leader have to forego his shooting in order to use the ability so he's not able to declare a target as he can't shoot in the first place? Units declare targets, not models. Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/211163-who-does-this/page/2/#findComment-2513202 Share on other sites
Marshal Wilhelm
Just to get this straight for clarity's sake. Rune Priest + Long Fang pack. Fire Control: C:SW pg 28 "So long as the squad leader is alive and does not shoot in the Shooting phase the unit may split its fire at two different targets instead of one. Simply declare which models fire at each target and then carry on using the normal rules." IC stuff BBB pg 48 Special Rules "Unless specified in the rule itself.... the unit's special rule is not conferred on the character, and the character's special rule is not conferred upon the unit." The IC is part of the unit [see the bullet points if needs be] The IC does not get to use FC. The unit fires at X and at Y. The member of the unit [Rune Priest] happens to shoot at X, whilst the Fangs shoot at Y. The IC is not using FC, the Fang squad members are. Yes? Grey Mage
Yes, exactly MW. They dont lose the rule as per the FAQ, so can still split fire- while the RP fires at the 'original' target. Just wanted to know if I was the only one! Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/211163-who-does-this/page/2/#findComment-2513823 Share on other sites
