Ultramarine Chaplain

Hi Folks,

 

I recently found the joys of being able to strip the paint off old badly painted metal miniatures. The first figure I was itching to repaint was this Chaplain. Originally it was for the Black Templars but I fancied adding it to my growing ranks of Ultramarines.

The black, blue, parchment, freehand and metals all look fantastic. Well done! Even the skull shoulder-pad looks really niceonly done. My only quarrel is I don't like the way the mouth-piece turned out... It looks like he's got a really intense under-bite. However, that may be simply the sculptor's fault and not your own! Otherwise, nice blending and high lighting. Keep practicing the writing :lol:

Thanks very much! The mouthpiece is the mold itself but it's not that bad in real-life. Script is very tricky but each time I try things seem to get that little bit easier.
