JetfireUK
Hi Folks, I recently found the joys of being able to strip the paint off old badly painted metal miniatures. The first figure I was itching to repaint was this Chaplain. Originally it was for the Black Templars but I fancied adding it to my growing ranks of Ultramarines. http://i4.photobucket.com/albums/y104/JetfireUK/SL271575.jpg What do you reckon? Edit: I've noticed that the golds still need a bit of work - but comments are always helpful. David the Despoiler
The black, blue, parchment, freehand and metals all look fantastic. Well done! Even the skull shoulder-pad looks really niceonly done. My only quarrel is I don't like the way the mouth-piece turned out... It looks like he's got a really intense under-bite. However, that may be simply the sculptor's fault and not your own! Otherwise, nice blending and high lighting. Keep practicing the writing  Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/211241-ultramarine-chaplain/#findComment-2512980 Share on other sites
JetfireUK
Thanks very much! The mouthpiece is the mold itself but it's not that bad in real-life. Script is very tricky but each time I try things seem to get that little bit easier. Dosjetka
Very nicely painted! :) You really have a steady hand for the parchment. :) Ludovic Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/211241-ultramarine-chaplain/#findComment-2514894 Share on other sites
