POV of Prospero Burns?

I was considering who the POV for Prospero Burns will be? Amlodhi is a prime candidate, as I think his character could be explored deeper; but then the Rune Priest came to mind. But then again, my mind was turned as he was killed in the final chapter.

I think Amlodhi will be the 'narrator' as such. The reason I was wondering was, 'Boy, Magnus was made out to be an absolute :, and that was from the Sons point of view! So, who could make him seem like more of a Kraken's rear end?'

Any thoughts?

If it is only through the eyes of one, my pick would be for those from ATS.

It could even be Othere and another Wolf, with the perspective percentage changing as the book goes on.

You know 90-10 at the start, 50-50 midway, 10-90 at the finish.

Surely we need to experience Othere and Ahriman's interactions, even the last one in the book. But perhaps we never will, as that would show SW to be hypocritical and authors don't like to dot 'i's and cross 't's on all things ~ they want to leave it said but not written down, if you know what I mean....

I think the story will be told by one of the Fen[not]Wolves.

well dan abnett already released a preveiw dont know if its still up but it was from the point of view of a tribesman named finn. so my guess would be the hero is'nt a named character.

heres the link you have to scroll about halfway down.

wow, you sure do enjoy poking the Wolves dont you?

and i dont think we will have a problem, Abnett is a far better author than that word killer McNeil, and sure to do a more balanced book than what we were given.

i hope to avoid the Wolves from ATS, just to ignore any influence they may have caught from the previous novel. Bulveye is a known character, and a good focal point for us Wolves to rally around.

I am highly highly confident that said Wolves will be mentioned, but it wont be conclusive. Some will see it. Those who don't want it will say it's not there. Sound familiar?

Anyway, I only mentioned it to stir my Brothers Wolf. :)

For me, Othere will be one of 'the' characters 'narrating' PB. He has too much potential and richness to let it slip.

He wont be able to anchor the show, and so will have a buddy who rises and 'usurps' his narrating role.

I have no guesses for this one, though Bulveye is possible.

Bulveye is a probable character. The 13th were ordered somewhere with the rest of the Legion by Russ in 'Wolf at the door'?

The chance to have him and the 13th commissioned by Russ in view of the horrors seen because of Magnus and Tzeentch also seems too juicy to let slide.

The story ends with him recieving orders from Russ to be inbound to Prospero ASAP.

I'm thinking Bjorn, we know he was there and hints were dropped he will be appearing in the book. He's still alive so it could be a recollection of events, with him coming back to the present at the end.

Would be awesome IMO, close to Russ

RUSS yes please! that would be AWESOME!

Failing him, bulveye would be just as awesome - that way we'd be guaranteed wulfen and 13th Company goodness...

Why would Mr Abnett go from Russ's point of view? To my knowledge Black Library hasn't with any of the other primarchs, so why start now? I think it would greatly reduce the primarchs' sense of majesty by actually getting inside their heads instead of writing from the perspectives of bystanders watching these gods tear armies to pieces.

I think he was trying to show his enthusiasm for Bjorn by saying RUSS yes please!, the same way as we would go 'Oh God, YES!'

In Horus Heresy: Collected Visions, there is a short passage written of the Fall of Prospero.

It is told from Bjorn's PoV (and ironically, he decries a Dreadnought in it). Oh, and the writer was Graham McNeil...

I'm also expecting a bit from Constantin Valdor's PoV - See also

Nemesis

, where he is a pivotal character.
