the coming assault on baal

i'm not sure, i feel that unless they handle the next bit of fluff, extremely carefully it will harm BA background.

personally somethings that if done right i wouldn't mind seeing.

-Dante wounded and interred into a sarcophagi with first dibs on next available chasis

-Mephiston finally brought low

things that i don't want to see...at all

-the sanguinor saving the day at the last second

-a retold story of the ultrasmurf 1st co.....

-a brand new special character brought up out of no where using shaky fluff

-anything james swallow might have even thought being used.

You know it might never be played out at all. GW is very reluctant to turn the clock further on 40K I think. Now you have a nice base for battles etc, and might never get a canonical outcome. B)

but if they were to canonize the outcome, what would you like to see? it's a hypothetical question i know that the time line has more or less stopped.

id acually be more worried about the nids than the deamons. put it this way, dante has kill sakrbrand, so have the sanguary guard (all be it with the help of greyknights) mephyson has too, and the sanguinator. nevermind what the other chapters bring. nids however...who a i kidding just throw mephy at them. What could happen is mephy fighting alongside dante and sanguinator near thecorpse ofsaguinator, all slain and in some warpex type thing sanguinius is retuned to life and slayes all... what ever happens immediately after the battle all the survivors will have to return to terra. Something is going to hapen there or why else attack us, they are trying to keep us out of the real fight.

Dante to be badly injured and become a Furioso Chapter Master.

Flesh Tearers fulfilling Seth's wish and going down to the last man in a glorious battle which will save Angel's Fall.

Knights of Blood redeeming their name on Baal and the High Lords removing their renegade status.

These are all things i'd love to see.

I'd like the Sanguinor dying permanently

Mephiston remembering where he put his force field from second edition

I must say I like the idea of a dreadnought dante, they would need to custom build a dreadnought jump pack just for him though

lol love the force field part. :(

Ha, ha...hilarious. Poor Sanguinor, no one likes him do they. He just need a hair cut and a pair of baggy pants and he might make some friends.

I think Dante's Dreadnaught Sarcophagus should have a Multi Melta and Giant Power Axe as well. Oh, and don't forget a Dreadnaught-sized Sanguinius Death Mask that has same rules as his current one, but is so big it automatically effects enemy units within 12".

Will this event have a book?

Extremely doubtful. It's just mentioned to be coming in the Blood Angel Codex. Games Workshop would have to actually advance the storyline in order for us to get any sort of detail about it and we all know that's not going to happen.

The Dante interred in a dread part is pretty cool, but perhaps the return of your Primarch?? Dante did or does have visions of a golden armoured warrior defending the emperor in the end. Of course if these are image flashes from Sanguinius's gene seed remains unclear, but perhaps Dante see's the return of your Primarch? Then again Space wolves arriving to save the day and cementing bonds of brotherhood is always a good idea :D

Werewolves and Vampires, sounds like the current season of True Blood B)

How would I like the assault on Baal to go? Hm....World Eater shows, chainaxe everything, and Commisar Khârn pulls the classic "Hey its me ole Sangy" routine with with Dante's deathmask on Angron.

Naw, you got it wrong there.

World Eaters show, Khârn begins killing stuff, than Mephiston taps his shoulder and disembowels him. ;-)

Oh well.. it's still blood.. so the blood god will be pleased ;-)

The Flesh Tearers are there in full force, you have nothing to worry about

Indeed, Id enjoy the tale of the Flesh Tearers regaining their place amongst the honored brethren by launching assault after daring assault in the heart, spine, spleen, and giant eyeballs dozens of tyranid motherships to cripple and destroy their main link to the hive mind.

Id like to see the old fluff of radition being deadly to tyranids come into play, and much of Baal itself, not just the moons, being nuked to stop their onslaught.

Id like to see 14 space marine chapters, not just BA successors mind you, come to their aid in this hour of need. Id like most of them to be absolutely devastated by the fighting. Like, worse than then crimson fists.

Id like three new special characters out of it, and perhaps the glorious death of one, or two.

Lastly, I think it would be very cool to see large scale deployments of both the Grey Knights and the Deathwatch on and around Baal. It would be very interesting if they did a forgeworld level of detail into the campaign in the baal system against the nidz and a large article on the destruction of the demonic incursion.

That being said, one is the answer to the other- demons require the warp to live, and the nidz shadow will weaken them. At the same time, demonic flesh is not of this world, and would no doubt be rather useless as biomass for the nid invasion.

Moriar to be awoken and tear the nids and daemons to shreds

Dante to do a Calistarius, succumb and join the death company only to beat it and come out the other end stronger

Zombie Tycho to rise from the dead knowing Baal needs his help and personally straddles and guides a missile of huge destructive capabilities directly into the Norn Queen

Ka'Banda and An'ggrath to appear, only to be struck down by Meph singlehandedly taking both on at the same time

Id like to see the old fluff of radition being deadly to tyranids come into play, and much of Baal itself, not just the moons, being nuked to stop their onslaught.

It already is... Baal is practically the definition of a Hellworld, not just a desert. The first time the Nids get caught in a Hellstorm their swarms would be reduced to mush, Biotitans would be picked up and dashed against any stray mountains or just pulped by the rocks in the storm. The Daemons - slightly harder, but equally without the bloodshed they will struggle to survive. The population of Baal is small enough that they could probably just bring the tribes inside some of the fortresses and then let the Daemons dash themselves to pieces against the walls. It took marines to bust into the Emperors Palace and its probably rather depressing for a Bloodletter to cry "Stone dust for the Blood God!" as he chisels away at the masonry...
