bat rep vs ultras

hey guys

last night i had a friendly tournament prep game against my best friend

 

game 1 vs ultras

 

he had

captain + relic blade +melta gun

chaplain in termie armour

2 squads of tacticals, 1 rides in rhino

5 assault termies in crusaider

whirlwind

pred with las+autocannon

squad of assault marines

1 dread with AC

 

i had

sanguinor

2 squads of assault marines + priest attached

1 squad of tacticals

baal pred with heavybolters +AC

5 assault termies +redeemer

landspeeder + missiles+mm

 

he got first turn, failed to sieze, game was KP

 

redthirst...no one got it, termies rolled a 2(damn)

termie serg with LC got the blessing off the highest rolloff

 

his turn 1... KP score 0-0

he rushed up his raider 12", kept everything back

shooting

shot AC at my tacticals, rended 1 and wounded 1, failed AS, passed CS

whirlwind shot at sanguinor...scattered off the edge

 

 

my turn 1....KP score 1-0

i moved my raider 12" , moved sanguionr behind raider

shot AC at rhino, penned...wrecked it, tacticals inside didnt get pinned

tacticals, shot missile at pred, hit, didnt damage it

 

 

his turn 2....KP score 1-0

his assault squad came in, scatter close to table edge

he moved his dread close to my raider, kept everything back

shot everything at my raider, no damage+no hits

assaulted his dread at my raider, no damage again

 

my turn 2....KP score 2-0

all my units came into play(RAS, LS, pred outflanked on the side with his RAS)

1 squad DSed near his tacticals in a building, other near his table edge, LS his bottom right corner

debarked my termies, didnt move anything else

RAS 1 shot his RAS, killed 2, baal pred shot and killed 3, tacticals shot and killed 1, LS shot mm and frag, mm killed 1

morale check...passed

termies assault dread(i made sure that they were in range of sanguinors aura)

he killed 1 LC, thunders wrecked it, massacred back to redeemer

 

his turn 3....KP score 2-0

he moved his raider close to my RAS, moved his RAS close to my pred, moved whirlwind away from my other RAS(2)

his raiders AC wrecked my LS, his RAS shot plasmas..no damage, his tacticals and pred shot RAS2..kiled 3..didnt fail morale

he debarked and assaulted with his termies+chap+Captain at my RAS1..wiped then out, his RAS asaulted my pred and imobiled it + destroyed AC

end of his turn

 

my turn 3....KP score 2-3

i moved my RAS2 closer to his tacticals in the building, i debarked my termies in my raider..end of moving

shot tactical missile at pred again...glanced..imobilized...shot pistols at tacticals..kiled 2

my raider shot Ac at his other tacticals that were in the rhino...killed 1

assaulted my RAS2 at his tacticals...i killed 4..he killed 1..failed and fell back to his edge..i pursued..so he would run off the board

 

his turn 4....KP score 3-3

he moved his raider with his elite squad+hqs closer to my raider debarked them, his tacticals that were running, ran off the board

shot mm at my raider..missed...shot pred at my raider..missed again

finished off my baal with his RAS

 

my turn 4....KP score 3-4

i moved my raider closer to his elite unit..flew sanguinor over the raider so he's in range to assault, moved my assault squad close to his whirlwind

debarked my termies..and prepared for assault

shot with my tacticals hoping to finish off his RAS..killed 2..no morale check fail...shot raider mm at his raider..pen...cant move or shoot

assault!!!...sanguinor + termies into his "elite" unit...RAS2 assaulted his whirlwind

RAS2...needed 6s to hit (moved 12), priest hit twice, penned!! wrecked it..fist didnt hit

now sanguinor chose to hit the squad....6atks..all his...2s wound..4 wounds....3 termies dead

his captain chose to attack the squad...my termie serg chose to hit the squad... 6 attacks ( 3 base ,+1 for LC, + 1 for charge, + 1 for aura)

4 hit, 4 wounds...squad dead, chaplain hit once...wounded 0...my thunders were in base contact with his hqs....12 attacks 8 hit...8 wounds

dead captain...dead chaplain...masacered close to his last remaining tactical squad

 

his final turn ....KP score 7-4

didnt do much...shot at my raider...no damage

 

my final turn ....KP score 7-4

finishing him off

moved my remaing squads to his pred and tacticals

sanguinor assaulted the tacticals and the termies double charged the pred and the tact.

no contest..sanguinor took out 5...last remaing wiped out by LC serg...pred wreck by thunders

 

end of battle

total KP : me 9. him 4

 

win for the Templars of Blood(successor chapter)..lost for the Ultramarines

overall good game for me...horrible rolling for my friend...but what can you expect from ultras?? lol

thanks for the reply

this was my first bat rep...i wanted to do a picture on paint..but a play by play was better

my thunderhammers played well

this was actually our first KP game in a long time...we always seem to play objectives and always tie

 

i played his brother after....won 2-0 in sieze..ill post a bat rep later on
