Token
This is one of my Thunderwerewolfs, counting as Thunderwolves.. The pose is ok, and h feels kinda t/s 5, but not 3+ armor, i have tried adding plasticard to the legs, but seems to have what little plasticardskill i got. http://www.bork.sverok.net/cpg/albums/userpics/10002/thunderwerewolfDark.jpg Sorry for the dark picture.. A friend said that perhaps if they were all scared up, it could show that they could take a punch, so i added some scars to a werewolf. http://www.bork.sverok.net/cpg/albums/userpics/10002/scar1.jpg http://www.bork.sverok.net/cpg/albums/userpics/10002/normal_scar2.jpg I need ideas on how to give them 3+ armor.. http://www.bork.sverok.net/cpg/albums/user...2/threesave.jpg This is about what plasticard skills i got, ok for orks, but not sure for marines.. Growler67
What base model(s) are you using? Perhaps try to make layered plates like those on the arms would be an easier approach. If you are still having difficulty with the plasticard, just mold the armor out of greenstuff. Token
The base is warhammer beastmen minotaurs, with wolf head. The goblin wolf rider heads were kinda small, so i tried using.. some decomposed ones which i greenstuffed the dead parts kinda over, not sure where they are from. Using greenstuff, making the armor, i would just put alot of it around them and then try to shape the armor while it is still, wet..? Dont think I have used greenstuff for such big things. MylesTheTroll
He's a werewolf. Gonna take a silver bullet to take him out. =) And it looks like you're using Dire Wolves heads from Fantasy as well. This might sound stupid and totally too much tedious work, but maybe have him wearing torn up pieces of power armor here and there to show what he was before the transformation. Just an idea. Regardless, it looks good. Nice job. Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/211454-my-thunder-werewolfs/#findComment-2515507 Share on other sites
Token
Broken armor could be cool, but i think one marine armor cut up would not cover much of the werewolf. That base is the big one, about 6cm. Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/211454-my-thunder-werewolfs/#findComment-2515511 Share on other sites
Growler67
If you are intent on using platicard products, then might I suggest you get some tubing? You can cut off 1/8 in segments or whatever length you like, then split it into halves of whatever and just stick it on rather than cutting and attempting to round-wrap a flat section. Yes, I was suggesting sculpting the armor plates with GS. It can be done the way you surmized too. It's easier to get the shape you want too. Just apply it to the leg section as thick as you want it or until it suits you, then sculpt it into shape with a flat bladed tool. Keep the tool damp so it glides and keeps the GS smooth. Press into it to make the plates seperate and appear overlapping. Token
Growler, tubing, thanks, that sounds easier then flat plasticard, atleast for legs, perhaps arms. Is there some way to make the greenstuff removable? Vaseline or something? Or i could practice on some AoBR marines.. Simo, i got some of those too, rat ogres with goblin wolf rider heads, but i use them as ogryns for my imperial guard. Also have imps on wolfs that works like Roughriders. Token
Thanks for the link Growler. Any links on how to build power armor? They link to a prophet site, but it seems to be down.
