NExOBLIVISCARIS
i have a ten man death company squad im going to build and i have run into a modeling problem that has to do with my tactics. my plan is to run my death company squad with a reclusiarch in a land raider redeemer/crusaider and the base plan is to drive them up close and assault asap but i also want them to be able to have some shooting prowess incase i start to just get kited. but should i give them bolters or bolt pistols? they are armed with 3 power weapons and a thunder hammer weapon, and 2 thunder hammers. Grabsnikk
Give bolters to the thunderhammers because you won't be getting an extra attack for them anyway.
Drachnon
You could also mix it up a bit for wound allocation.

Jakobus
Basic rule I follow is Powerweapons get Pistols and Thunderhammers/Powerfists get Boltguns the rest is up to you You want the extra Powerweapon attack which is why you have the pistols on them, you will be getting 3 more attacks that ignore armour which means in most cases another 2 wounds. With the Furious Charge initiative A lot of thiings will die before they get the chance to hit back. The Bolters on the int 1 Weapons is very much because you won't get they addition weapon attach unless you have two of them, and that single Str 8/9 attack isn't worth the extra body. So for a LRR with 12 seats, 1 for the Chaplain, 3 Powerweapons and 3 Thunderhammers you have 5 regular DC, so may look at 3 Boltguns & 2 pistols for wound allocation.
