Rune_Priest_Rhapsody
I recently picked up the plastic Chaos Juggernaut box with the idea of converting them into Thunderwolves. I have very little experience converting models and working with greenstuff. I used the search to try and find a tutorial or pictures, but to no avail. All I am asking for is a link, or an rough concept to act upon. Thanks in advance brothers. -R_P_R Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/211524-converting-sm-biker-legs-into-sw-thunderwolf-legs/ Share on other sites
Requiem of the Wolf
I am sad that you would not ask me first brother. It is actually fairly easy to do,though it takes a little bit of work. the first thing you need to do,is cut along the joint where the leg meets the crotch, same as if you were dismembering a body to hide under a tree stump. The next step is to either use a hot salt dip to bend the knees back or more likely cut just under the kneecap plate. you will want the legs to bend backwards, because while you keep your legs forward to steady yourself while riding a bike, with a horse you bend the knees because you use them to help steer. grind the lower leg so that it fits snug to the top part of the leg and then glue it. then use a dot of green stuff to fill the joint. To get the legs to attach to the crotch you will need to glue the top part of the leg,and use green stuff to fill in the seam where its left bowlegged. Something I found that helped, was glueing the crotch to the saddle where you are going to have your wolf sitting and then fit the legs there. If your greenstuff skills are up to it,you can also fashion stirrups...Also you can use the chest peice with the hanging wolf pelt over the front to help cover the greenstuffing, since sometimes it can be difficult. you can also use a more drastic approach of building the saddle out of green stuff and situate it so it covers the gaps. CainTheHunter
The guy is talking either polish or czech, but the video is pretty self-explaining. And he's not even using bker legs, but the ordinary knee-pad legs from SM tacticals. Thunderhawk3015
Ordinary legs are much easier to convert as they are more spread out. I chopped up 6 sets for my Thunderwolves and with a little pinning/green stuff they work quite well. This sounds very odd when taken out of context, and needs to be siged Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/211524-converting-sm-biker-legs-into-sw-thunderwolf-legs/#findComment-2517196 Share on other sites
