Vehicle Questions

After searching the BRB (and relevant Codex), I need some advice concerning these issues and I was hoping you guys could help me out.

Question 1: Squad A and B both assault the same transport (embarked with passengers). The vehicle suffers an Explodes! result, leaving the passengers to be placed on the board in the same space that the vehicle formerly occupied. How are these passengers placed if they can't be put on the board outside 1 inch of a model in Squad A and/or B? Are they destroyed? Are the passengers placed outside of 1 inch of Squads A and B ignoring the placement of their now destroyed transport? Are members of Squads A and B moved to accomodate the passengers?

Question 2: A Tank performs a Tank Shock on a unit and passes its Morale check to be moved out of the way. What happens if the "shocked" unit cannot be moved out of the vehicle's path without being placed within 1 inch of an enemy model/impassable terrain?

Question 3: When an a squad charges a vehicle, may models be placed on top of it if they have enough move to make it there? If so, do you need enough move over and up to do so?

Question 4: Is the obscured effect from a Kustom Force Field a 4+ or 5+?

Thank you all in advance!

Question 1+2: This was more clearly described in the last Edition. Models that cannot be deployed because of difficult terrain or enemy models in the way are usually considered destroyed. Same as models that would end up under a vehicle and cannot move out of the way.

During a Tank Shock models do not have to move out of the vehicle's path, though. They only have to be moved if the vehicle stops on top of the unit and they would end up under the stopped vehicle (or within 1"). They can be moved to either side of the vehicle, even to it's rear, as long as they remain in coherency with their unit. If th evehicle would move through the unit and not stop on top of it, the models do not have to move at all. The vehicle simply passes through the unit (you canassume they jump out of the way but immediately move back into formation).

Question 3: Models may not move into or through the space occupied by another model. See page 11 in the BRB.

Question 4: Either one would be justifiable. One could argue that the Kodex Orks does not specify what kind of "obscured" save teh vehicle gets, so it gets the basic 4+ save. But one could also argue that the Custom force field is described as giving a 5+ cover save to units, and can also obscure vehicles, so it would be treated just like the "hedge" example in the rulebook and grant the vehicle a cover save like the one it would grant infantry.

1) I can't remember the emergancy disembarkation rules, but generaly if you can't place them on the board they are destroyed

2) In the rare case this would happen, I'd see them move to the closest legal location. But to do this that unit has to be boxed in on 3 sides at least

3) Nope

4) 5+

Emergency Disembarkation has nothing to do with scenario 1. That applies to Wrecked results only. If the vehcile explodes, remove it from the table without moving ANY of the assaulting models, and place a crater, if you have one. Place the surviving passenger models in the space vacated by the exploded vehicle. If you cannot place all of the surviving passengers inside that space without being within 1" of an enemy model, all the extras that did not fit are destroyed.

You cannot place any of them outside the area formerly occupied by the exploded vehcile.

Question 1: Are they destroyed?
Yes.

Question 2: What happens if the "shocked" unit cannot be moved out of the vehicle's path without being placed within 1 inch of an enemy model/impassable terrain?
This is actually impossible, as a vehicle needs a path to tank shock them. It cannot go through models on its own side, so no worries!

Question 3: models be placed on top of it?
No. Comedic value only.

Question 4: Is the obscured effect from a Kustom Force Field a 4+ or 5+?
4+ for vehicles, as it doesn't specify the actual value for vehicles. Since that's the case, the BRB has that covered in a a generic 4+ save.
