Avishan
Hello all, I'm a long time lurker, first time poster. So I've recently been putting together a Blood Angels army. I've been trying not to post anything until I get some experience under my belt, however, putting together the Guard has thrown me for a loop. Specifically the wings, I find that it's incredibly difficult to get the wings to stay on the model as I'm letting it set. What I'm asking is how did you all put the guard together? Any tips and comments are much appreciated. Thanks Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/211539-sanguinary-guard/ Share on other sites
Drudge Dreadnought
I pin everything. It's just better that way. Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/211539-sanguinary-guard/#findComment-2516597 Share on other sites
MadGreek
My friend uses super glue and then a quick set to speed up the process. Never done it myself, but it seems to work for him. Drudge Dreadnought
My friend uses super glue and then a quick set to speed up the process. Never done it myself, but it seems to work for him. That can get messy and cause excess glue seepage. calgaryBA
It sound weird, but go and buy the GW superglue. It's not runny like all the other super glues out there, making the assembly stupidly fast and clean. I also found that their super glue actually bonds the plastic together (as if they were melted together) instead of making a weak glue-type bond. Also for the Sanguinary guard, cut out the bottom 2 bars in the black bases they come with, and glue a nickel underneath. I've found that those models are too top heavy to play on sloped terrain, and a nickel in the base solves everything. Brother-Captain Devlonir
I actually had no problems with their wings. But I do assemble them such that they stick on the rounded part on the front backpack as well as slightly on the 'mini exhausts' on the top of the backpack.
