amrogers3
Hello all, is there a current list out there with good bits to use for the wolves? Those bits listed in FAQ are pretty much non existant, either no longer in production or no longer available through GW. Most of those pages return "not found". Don't think GW even does bits anymore. ;) Trying to build an old school 13th Company army. Found a few things that might work, bits from marauders, chaos warriors, and Beastmen Gor herd. Any other bits suggestions would be most helpful. Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/211540-conversion-bits/ Share on other sites
Requiem of the Wolf
I recommend the weapon sprue's from Black Orc Fantasy units. the Ghoul hands from vampire counts Crypt ghouls work good with greenstuff for Wulfen hands. BAsically I would recommend checking out the bit sellers on say..Ebay and check out what there is...that will give you an idea. Iron-Daemon Forge
Beastmen Minotaurs/Beastmen in general have a lot of nice gear. I seen a nice conversion where a GW Staffer use the shield from the Minotaurs range as a Storm Shield on his Terminators. Look a lot better than the standard Storm Sheild that are out right now in my view, really look good in the Wolves force. While the Beastmen, few of the axe have some nice rune letter on them. Also some of the shield, I tend to use these to show my Mark of the Wulfen. While you could also use some of the Heads for the Wulfen, since you siad about collecting the 13th Company along with the Ghoul kit. Also get some Undead Skeletion for trophies, the Ghoul have a nice skull with scar on it being claw mark on it. Again with you saying about 13th Company. Chaos Marauder Horsemen have some nice head for your Space Wolves Scouts/normal Space Wolves troops. Games Workshop still sell the 3rd Ed Space Wolvies spures. Dark Elfs Corsair, if your planning any Wolf Claws, I seen a few Space Wolves player around my area useing the Swords/blade for there Wolf Claws, look really cool. Ulli And Marquand from the Mordheim range http://www.games-workshop.com/gws/catalog/...dId=prod1120057 Mordheim Hunter?? It talk about a Space Wolves Lord wearing a mask in Thousand Son Heresy novel http://www.games-workshop.com/gws/catalog/...dId=prod1120053 Hope this helps out a bit IP Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/211540-conversion-bits/#findComment-2516710 Share on other sites

Iron-Daemon Forge
Thanks for the reply. Brought up some interesting options I haven't thought about. BTW, does GW even sell bits anymore? Depend. If you mean somthing like say a single bit like Canis Wolfborn Backpack, then no. These are the only bits Weapons http://www.games-workshop.com/gws/catalog/...otCatGameStyle= Shoulder Pad http://www.games-workshop.com/gws/catalog/...otCatGameStyle= Terrian http://www.games-workshop.com/gws/catalog/...otCatGameStyle= Random http://www.games-workshop.com/gws/catalog/...otCatGameStyle= Conversion packs http://www.games-workshop.com/gws/catalog/...otCatGameStyle= Bare in mind there might be a few more bits not shown in there, but if you click on "armies" & check out say Space Wolves, there other bits there or Blood Angels for exsample. Quillen
I use Battlewagon bitz. Niel at the warstore runs it now. They are always cool, and if you order enough they will toss stuff in for you. They forgot 2 banners on one of my order and sent me 5. Just because I am loyal and order all the time for different project I am working on. amrogers3
Should I use the Ungor Beastmen or Gor Beastmen for Space Wolves conversions? Can't really tell the difference. The only bits I see that might be useful are the axes and shields.
