A thousand sons ending?

NO BLOOD - NO FOUL!

This might be a stupid question.

But the way I read it, did Magnus

teleport the remainder of his legion to the planet of sorcerers without their equipment? He keyed in on the scarab on the Thousand sons armour. I'm not sure if all the tanks, speeders and space ships all have a similar scarab or not....

I understand it would be stupid to have the Thousand sons stranded on a planet in the Eye of Terror, but that was how I read it.

The Sons had been ordered to store anything that could be saved in the Pyramid of Photep, which was part of what Magnus transported to the Planet of the Sorcerers. Chances are they'd have put some speeders and things in there. The fleet could have made its own way through the Warp.

Either that or they just resorted to nicking things. They can send bodies of light through the Warp, it would be easy to hijack a supply ship.

I thought as much! I knew the Blood Ravens were Thousand Sons, that's why they're awesome :)

Though that doesn't really work with their 'unknown Primarch'. Magnus was famous, legendary even, they'd surely know SOMETHING if he was their Primarch.

the earliest ones probably destroyed the information regarding their Primarch, it wouldn't do for a loyalist chapter to be associated with a Primarch that has fallen to chaos.

Davian Thule probably found something regarding that and that is why he promptly destroyed the information and swore to take the secret to his grave

I'm not sure how factual it is considering how much the novels have differed from it, but the Visions series does mention Magnus being at the Battle of Terra:

As the Warmaster was preparing his forces for the coming attack against Terra he received an unexpected communication. It was from Magnus the Red, Primarch of the Thousand Sons Legion. Horus knew that eventually Magnus would join him - his allies within the warp had foretold him as much - but he was nevertheless surprised that he had made contact now. This was a good omen, thought Horus, as he scanned the transcript of the message.

"Hail Warmaster! I offer you grim tidings of events that have destroyed fair Prospero and I offer my services in the coming invasion of Terra. Though you and I have never been close it now appears that we share a common cause.

The Emperor, who I had ever admired and loved, has spurned me and set his dogs on me as if I were a petty criminal. The barbarians of Russ have destroyed my precious Prospero and foully murdered many of my dearest kith and kin. Only through the grace of a mutual ally I was able to escape the carnage and mine own death at the hands of the Wolf Primarch.

'I never sought to become embroiled in your disagreement but they have driven me to your side. I vow to make them regret that they should have treated me so. I am much changed, our mutual ally have bequeathed me power beyond any mortal means to measure. You will find me a most useful and loyal servant.

'Even as you receive this communiqué the remnant of my Legion and I are marshalling at the moons of Fasdahn-Oryx in preparation for transit to the Solar system. We await your orders to move on Terra.'

The Raven of Blood! Such a dark future!

thats what i think, i think they came from the space wolves, with a bit of ultramarines in there too, but a peice of war gear in soulstorm i think was called "dorn's fist" i think, so maybe they are from imperial fists stock instead
