For Winterfell and House Stark?

Good day everyone,

I'm currently absorbed by a mix of law school and the Song of Ice and Fire series. While one of these is making me think longingly of the Emperor's Peace, the other is making me wonder what kind of kitbash/conversion I can do to turn my thunderwolf lord into a rendition of someone from House Stark. I think a Wolf Lord riding a wolf (as opposed to a juggernaut, or whatever that thing is that Canis rides) wielding a greatsword (frost blade) (Ice - no idea how I'd paint valeryian steel), with the shield and head being Brettonian or Empire bits, would be pretty cool, especially if painted Stark colors, and if I get ambitious, freehand the dire wolf emblem on his shield. My frostblades all have teeth, I use a lot of chaos bits but no knightly bits, and my space wolves aren't painted white and gray, so I think this would stand apart pretty well. No one in my area would get what it was...but I'd know.

Does anyone else do any Song of Ice and Fire conversions on their marines, Space Wolves or other? If you've read the books at all, did you have any thoughts for conversions?

If you haven't read the book series you should - the first one is A Game of Thrones, they're written by George R. R. Martin. The "good guys" are House Stark. Their emblem is the dire wolf, and early on in the first book the 6 children all get a dire wolf pet. Life goes downhill for the Starks after that...but the books are still great.

Great series... just as long as Martin gets around to releasing Dance with Dragons! Argg!!!

I like the idea for conversions, never thought about doing a Fire n Ice army. You can easily add Dog since he kinda ended up being not as bad a guy. Use the Fire priest guy (forgot his name) as a Rune Priest.
