MaveriK
So basically, I've redone my main objective marker to fit more into the lines with 40K by having a rounded edge. Now my dilema wolf brothers is... should I have a Fenrisian wolf attached or not? YES or NO? Before the UPDATE.... War Wolves of Fenris: Objective Marker After the UPDATE with the Wolf... After the update without the wolf... Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/211660-with-the-wolf-or-without/ Share on other sites
Grey Mage
Either way it looks pretty epic. That being said with the wolf makes it look more like a diorama, without it looks more like terrain. I was initially worried that the marine would be part of it. As is, Id probly not have the wolf on for games, but perhaps as a display peice. Hiro_Protagonist
I'd say no to the wolf. Maybe it's just the angle but it kinda looks like he's "making friends" with the rocks. Like the wolf, like the terrain, but together they just aren't doing it for me. Just my opinion though, if you like it go with it. Serunox
I agree with grey mage.Keep teh wolf for display but for game purpose without the wolf.It looks great either way. Maximus-92
I think you should deffinatley keep the wolf, i like feral nature it gives the piece. Another idea i've always wanted to do was an objective marker with two wolves dragging away their battered lord. would look awesome. Barn
Personally, i feel it needs the wolf or the banner to be an objective, otherwise it just feels like a fancy bit of terrain. Grey Mage
Its Bjeorns banner, on an empire bannerpole tipped with an old wolf head backpack, with a chaos warrior/beastman shield and some bits from the new SW box..... and a beautiful, probly hand done necklace of teeth? Oh, and the greenery is, if Im seeing it right, taken from the Dryad box of the wood elves? And I can see a mold line- that rocky ruin the thing is perched on is a GW something.... though I dont know where from. CainTheHunter
And I can see a mold line- that rocky ruin the thing is perched on is a GW something.... though I dont know where from. It's the old Gothic ruins piece, which came in one of the 40k starters long time ago. In my opinion, wolf makes this scene complete. Without him, I have an impression that the diorama lacks something. Or maybe it's about dynamics - the whole thing is very static (apart from the bird) and the wolf brings some life into it. Brother Nihm
I like it better without the wolf, though the wolf does make it more dynamic. Max_Dammit
Its a banner protected by a wolf who lost its bearer in battle, makes it a whole story on its own Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/211660-with-the-wolf-or-without/#findComment-2518455 Share on other sites
Growler67
If at all possible make one of each. With the Wolf as part of the objective. Without if the objective is taken by the enemy or not reached in time (turn #). MaveriK
thank you EVERYONE for your input! with all your help, I've decided to do the banner and wolf. I might redo the wolf itself... but the banner stays. It works perfectly with my lost companies fluff http://www.bolterandchainsword.com/index.p...howtopic=211665 oh and the banner itself is made out of green stuff.
