Ultramarines templates...of DOOM

Hello to you all, having recently had some time off work to actually play a game, i decided to bimble to my local GW and play a game. i was up against a Eldar play, very nice chap, and had a "use all you models" game, ended up about 2.5k a side. Unfortuneatley i was unable to get any pictures, ill remember next time!

Rest of list was a assortment of fire dragons, banshees, war walkers, vypers, waveserpents, alot of rangers! along with some wraith guards and jetbikes and a wraithlord.

 

we set up on a 6 by 4 board, and i rolled for first turn.

 

Noteable moments:

 

Turn 1 saw 20 rangers die to massed Blast templates, along with 2 vypers blown from the sky, and a Orbital bombardment miss 3 grouped units, to land on a bike, and roll a 1 to wound.... >.>

 

1 Multimelta Attack Bike destroyed a Waveserpent and a Falcon over 2 turns

 

Asasult marines actually beat Banshees in CC! shocked moment, Assault Marines werent doomed luckily.

 

Marneus finishes off a Wraithlord with his bolters and proceeds to smash apart 4 Wraith Guard with his gauntlets.

 

Warwalkers beat assault marines in close combat causing them to flee 1 inch from the board edge! luckily they see the light and return

 

Terminators storm bolter a warwalker to death, and IK ulthran in CC with a power fist

 

my Plasma Cannon and Plasma guns both overheat and kill their users in the same turn....

 

And 1 jetbike survives 20 bolter round and is eventually downed by a lascannon.

 

All in all a good game, there were no eldar units left, i still had half a Assault squad, 2 Fully intact tacticals, Devastators, Scouts and my Predator, and Marneus with 3 wounds!
