Thornoo1
We are holding a 10k Apoc battle on the 10th of 10th, 10. Starting at 10am. The sides will be BA and IG v's Chaos Marines and Dark Eldar. As we have a ridiculous amount of Khorne Berserkers we thought we would roll out Angron and I was wondering if there is any fluff to help support a narrative for the battle. I know that there was some background from the 13th Black Crusade where the World Eaters took on some successor chapters. Any help? WarpWalker
I'll have to think about this but...BA and IG would be there because of Chao's influence and the Dark Eldar are like sharks. There will be lots of blood in the water. As far as background I can't remember. I'll look into some books I have. Thornoo1
I know Angron turned up in the first war for Armageddon but the Blood Angels didn't get there until the 2nd 400-500 years later Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/211842-blood-angels-take-on-angron-looking-for-fluff/#findComment-2520575 Share on other sites
Ranwulf
The Blood Angels were the World Eaters rivals, now I would say they are opposed forces in the Imperium and Chaos. Besides, I really think Khorne would love Blood Angels fighting World Eaters... Thornoo1
What I'm thinking is: That during a little known investigation during the 2nd war for Armageddon by the Ordo Malleus, a partial regiment of the imperial guard to stumbled upon the Dark Eldar performing an arcane rite upon a previously undiscovered webway portal. As the battle started to heat up the Dark Eldar finished their connection through the portal and a link was opened to the Daemon world of Angron. He and his legions marched through to finish what they had started 500 years earlier. Knowing the horror he faced the Ordo Malleus Inquisitor called upon the forces of the Blood Angels 2nd Company and battle was met upon the poisoned dust plains of Armageddon once more. Unless Angron lays the personal smack-down straight on Baal's doorstep, I doubt the first port of call for the Inquisition (or pretty much any other non-successor chapter) will be the Blood Angels when looking for someone to take him down. Best to leave the =][= and Armeggedon out of it. Just call it 'Vengeance of the Blood Angels II:' Angron is sent by Khorne to finish what Ka'Bandha couldn't. GlauG
If it was local to me it'd be Angron's payback for Lemartes kicking his butt last time I played a friend of mine. <_< That aside, I'm with Oiad; Angron's probably happy to settle that score for Khorne... Leardinal
Well, since Baal is right next to the Maelstrom, you could say that the Blood Angels and Imperial Guard have gone on a joint mission to a planet in the Maelstrom to recover an artifact that was stolen from a passing Imperial ship by who they think are the Red Corsairs, but it turns out to be a trap set by Angron and the Dark Eldar pop by to have some fun. Just off the top of my head after figuring out what warp disturbance was next to Baal.
