Vanguard vets configuration

Hello when I was searchning the internet for best vanguard squad i found something like this what do you think about ti?

Vanguard 7+sg

JP 80pts

 

SG TH+SS 35pts

Van. 1 PW+IP 30

Van. 2 Claw+SS 35

Van. 3 Claw +SS 35

Van. 4 chainsw.+B.pistol +MB

Van. 5 chainsw.+B.pistol+MB

Van. 6 chainsw.+B.pistol+MB

Van. 7 chainsw.+B.pistol+MB

 

It cost about 420pts i think..

and it will be in my jump pack army (sang guard+libby, 2x assault sq-2xfist, 4x meltagun, rocket speeder and some other fasta stuff)

 

(sorry for bad english, I am teenager from czech republic :))

I live in america and your english is better than most of the people I know. The only thing I have a problem with in this list is that there isn't enough killy in it. You might want to throw in 2 power weapons and drop the I pistol. Because the chainsword boys will only take up wounds but not perform great in combat compared to the others. And with HI you should be able to get them into combat when they com down and with enough pw you don't need about taking wounds. Mine are a little like this

 

PF HF JP

LC SS JP X2

PW BP JP X2

 

they all ignore armor and each has something to bring to battle.

Try positioning your sang priest so they get the FC. I use Jump packs, bikes and drop pods in my army and I'm able to drop the priest with a squad

of sternguards where I want on turn 1. With a beacon on your pod you can land beside the priest the start of the next turn.

 

I personally wouldn't use them without the HI. A Sang. guard w/priest and a librarian has all the killiness you need.
