Harald Deathwolf.

I play his company, I love to incorporate puppies alongside the shpess marines and just the tought on getting more fluff on a space wolf company that actually uses wolf pack hunting behaviours as combat tactics will be pure awesomeness.

For me it has to be Ragnar. I have loved his fluff since 2nd edition. Yes he is the poster child for SW. After all he needs a new sculpt. I dont have issue with his old one (static pose an all) i just want him to be bigger in scale.

Regardless of which Great Company is feature in IA 11 I think we are more likely to see other HQ's besides one of the actual Wolf Lords. Forge World does tend to like a bit of free range when they write these things and that would be easier with say a WGBL, RP or WP from (insert your favorite WL here)'s Great Company.

So yeah, I think we're more likely to see other special characters instead of one of the Wolf Lords.

No opinion on which company, doesnt really matter to me as I play my own anyway. Would like to see some TWolf models and maybe (which would be awesome but would never happen) a sprue that gives you the option to build some better wolf scouts and wulfen. Something along those lines.

When we spoke to Warwick Kinrade at GD he was saying that it would be one of the existing Wolf Lords and the idea would be that every one of the Wolf Guard would be named!

Whilst he didn't specifically say so, I got the impression that it wouldn't be Ragnar - as people have already stated, he is the GW poster boy and has already been covered.

If FW are going to do the Thunderwolves then I'd put my money on Harald Deathwolf's Great Company.

Otherwise I think Egil Iron Wolf is a good bet - he's already had a run in with the Eldar and tanks/transports are both his and FWs thing!!

I would want either Gunnar Red Moon because his fluff seems to fit

Personally, any would do just fine (probably not going to be Ragnar or Logan, though, since they already have models).

However, the above quote is what I'm thinking will be the case. His fluff on pg. 16 of the codex refers to killing so many eldar that the planet was stained red with their blood.

EDIT: Rethinking it, is THIS company symbol any one of the existing ones? FW might as well do that company since they already have a set of SW Termies.

Yeah, 3 of those are Ragnar Blackmane's symbol; the other two are the exact same symbol, but with a "sun" behind the Blackmane wolf's head profile - I'm not sure what the significance of the "sun" part is, because the shape/style/design is not the same as Krom Dragongaze's symbol, but could be used as the Sun Wolf.

Hello all,

From a modelling standpoint, how do you all envision some of your favorite Wolf Lords. I want to build my own Egil Ironwolf and I envision him in Terminator armor. A thunderhammer would seem to fit, but I think the wolfclaws look so much cooler.

That being said, I'm sure most of us have a vision of what our favorite Wolf Lords should look like, be armed with, etc. If you could make a recommendation to FW sculptors, how would you have them arm and armor your chosen Wolf Lord?

As the current fluff for Ironwolf states that he has an over abundance of tanks in his company and that he prefers to use armored assaults...I would envision him in PA sitting at the head of an Armored squadron of LRs in the cupola with a stormbolter in one hand and upgraded comms on the track directing his metal beasts into the fray...

Quite frankly, I want them to do Egil Ironwolf. Two reasons:

1) He is straightforward and deadly

2) IA tends to focus on ARMOUR, and he is known for his immense armoury.

Or, and this I believe to be more likey: Bran Redmaw

1) The Eldar do all that hit-and-run stuff, and supposedly, Bran has a lot of Scouts and his Great Company excels at the Hunt.

2) He is supposed to be able to train his vehicle crew to join him on the Hunt.

I'd love if you could let me know where you got this from

Ive been doing Bran Redmaw's company for some time, and while he does enjoy a hunt, i haven't found anything to do with him having more scouts, or any fluff on his vehicles. Would be much appreciated!

In the Wolf Lord's section, it mentions his Great Company having a large number of Scouts.

Ahh that would be Erik Morkai :)

Barn Redmaw's company is famous for its savagery, (love of) Wulfen and his cunning tactics.

Argh, I must spend the next few hours in the Brewe- I mean, Wolf Priest's chambers 'punishing' myself.
