Gibious
Intending to sell my fantasy and 40k armies to start afresh with a single Daemon army focusing mainly on 40k. Now being able to take 4 heralds in an army has realy inspired me. To make 4 mini armies for each god all ruled by their own herald. Each quater will cost ~300pts which I will then swap change as the army points see fit. Tzeentch: Herald - Bolt, Master or Sorc, We are Legion (Chariot when points/converted) 11 Horrors - Changeling Simple Fire base protected by changeling, herald when not on chariot will be with horrors as he can still choose his own targets. When moved to chariot both factors will become safer as my opponent will have two units to charge instead on one. Khorn: Herald - Jugger, Might, Blessing, Fury 10 Bloodletters Rides with Bloodletters. Can pass wounds onto his 3+, can pass Psyker damage onto his 2+. Can also beat a dread in combat (The main bain of Letters I belive) Slaneesh Herald - Steed, Might, Pavane, Transfixing Gaze 10-14 Deamonettes - Transfixing Gaze Speed and rending. Minus two attacks in combat, and when not needing to fleet/run can fire off a Pavane. Additional tactic is to remove Herald in the movement phase, to pavane whilst her girls are fleeting. She has 12" charge anyway so can hastily catch up. Nurgle: Herald - Touch, Gift, Cloud 10 -12 Plagebearers - Icon May deepstrike offencivly to grab attention and contest/take objectives, further turns can have others use its icon. Intending to get close, even assault, to spam Gift I will then intend to fill the rest of point with undivided heavy slots. Princes/Grinders but moving towards Princes to abuse Eternal warrior. Equiped with a flame template dropping perfectly off of the icon. So oppinions on squad sizes? Herald changes? Do you think this idea will work, or should I just make one of the Cookie lists? (FateCrusher/Epidermis/SkarbrandPimp/DaemonZilla) -Gib- Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/212185-4-heralds/ Share on other sites
Seahawk
That's pretty much what I do, just with less heralds and more greater daemons. Well, just one, but yea. Don't be an internet tool! Don't make cookie lists! They're no good anyway :ermm: Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/212185-4-heralds/#findComment-2525083 Share on other sites
Gibious
I have been recomended that even in a fluffy list the Nurgle Herald is awful beyond comparison. Also that I should trade him for a Nurgle DP. Yeah I realy do not want to make a cookie list, and I am exeptionaly against using special characters too. Brother_Fatiswon
I use Calgar, the "crutch" because, beside Deathguard.. the rules of God of war, is how I feel marines should behave/react on the battle field. but it's the Era of "it count as a HeroHammer".
