dijital_llama
i'm just starting to put together my first rhino for my ultra army and want to use the storm bolter gunner poking out of the top. my question is should he have a tactical arrow on his shoulder pad and the squad number of the tac squad his rhino is attached to? or is there a marking that i'm completely oblivious to that goes in its place? cheers in advance for the help! Vodunius
The miniature comes with the techmarine pad - but I'm not sure if its been fluffed up that all Rhino crewman have it. (all Land Raiders supposedly have at least once proper pukka techmarine in their crew, and if memory serves the accessory sprue in the Rhino kit was originally made for the Land Raider). Back in 2nd edition Smurf vehicle crewmans pad bore their vehicles number in a circle. ShinyRhino
There's actually a lot of contradictory background info on this. Some sources state the crewmen are drawn from reserve companies. Some sources state they're aspirant Techmarines. Others state they're members of the company from which the force is drawn. Myself, I painted him in Mechanicus red, with the Ultramarine shoulderpad on the left, and silver pad rims. Right side pad is just blank.
