glider0880
Now reading the rulebook it clearly staes that you can only equip one independant character to a unit. So all the lists out there with a Chaplain/Librairan/Reclusiarch/Chapter Master and a Sanguinary priest are illegal right? So why are there so many people on this forum posting lists, Bat Reps, fave units polls, which include this sort of combo? Am I missing something or are people just making a human error? glider0880
JamesI
Where in the rulebook does it say this? It is perfectly legal to attach multiple Ics to 1 unit
Hurrey
I just had a quick read of my rule book and can see nothing to support your statement at all. Can you provide a page reference at all? H *Beaten to the Punch by James
Aarkon
On page 48 of the big rule book it says "Independant characters are allowed to join other units" It then goes on to say which units it can NOT join in that list is Vehicle Squadrons. Now no where in this rule does it preclude an IC joining another unit that already includes an IC. Thus you could join 10 IC to the same unit. In fact it goes on to say you can join two IC together to form a super unit, thus the rule book is saying it is fine to have 2 or more IC in the same unit. Deus_Sanguinius
Seems to be difficult... On top of page 48 it stands clearly, that an IC can join other IC. IC can join units which consists of more than 1 model. So why should it be illegal to have multiple IC in one unit?
Joasht
I think it is an old misconception, as if I'm not mistaken that was the case back in 3rd ed/4th ed since I recall one of the funky things of the 4th ed space marine codex was the ability to get that extra chaplain/librarian attached to your HQ choice. To be honest I've never placed more than one IC per squad lol......
