Kongy
Just been rereading False Gods. During Horus' dream sequence when he visits the future and sees the shrine world with the Emperor and loyal Primarchs, there is a short segment which describes one of the pilgrims. He was holding up two squares of orange cloth and screaming that he wouldn't wear them. It really feels to me like it's a reference to something, but for the life of me of me I haven't been able to figure out what. Anyone able to explain this passage and put me out of my misery? Supposed to be revising for an exam and this is too much of a distraction. Pacific81
I don't know. At a guess, is it meant to represent the irrationality which has gripped humanity in the future? As though all of the Great Crusade, and the sacrifice of the Astartes to bring the light of the Imperium to the galaxy, has been for nothing.. Without reading (or remembering it!) I can't really say more. Maybe the guy was just crazy, or was forced to eat tangerines as a child? Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/212527-two-squares-of-orange-cloth/#findComment-2528192 Share on other sites
