millest
hi folks i know this is a long shot and was hoping some of our resin addicts on here might be able to help out! I was wondering if anyone had had chance to do some modelling with the new FW kits and has experimented with parts swaps? things like Mkv legs with mkIII toros, mkIII toros with mkVII heads and any other combinations you could think of. im interested in seeing how some of the kits work together for making a more techie marine squad or a more battle hardened one. any help or pics would be great. cheers millest Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/212603-pick-and-mixing-the-new-fw-marines-has-anyone/ Share on other sites
Sharpsilver
It can definitely be done. Forgeworld themselves said all parts are compatable with the GW plastic kits. Over on Warseer there is a user named 'ilikebmxbikes', he has done so with his Blood Angels. It's worth a check out if you need ideas or want to see how they look. Slyen
Well I havn't done swaps between armor kits but there were a few things said about the Mk 3 armor being rather static. For one, the groin plate gets in the way to some extent and the second thing I heard was that head swaps are funky and don't look right. As for the The Mk 6 armor, I see nothing that would be an issue with the other armor sets. Though they are my first resin pieces.
