The Rune Priest is roughly base upon the Stormcaller art work that can be found in the 2nd ed codex Space Wolves or here

Just more the way I try to pose my Rune Priest & try to get the over all look, but wanted the left arm out to show he casting Living Lighting or Jaws of the World Wolf!!!

My Space Wolves army went for a darker colour as I am not a fan of bright colours. Very happy with how he turn out. Replace the orignaly rune priest who had a bit of BIG slate which result in a lot of models break off them & also the beard, got a friend to help suclpt the one you see above which look really cool & more Space Wolves.

Not sure if I should add gloss varnish to the Force Weapon blade/axe head. Little unsure, as it would help a bit to bring it more to life, but same time if I was to re-paint/tide up area.

Rest of my Space Wolves army can be seen by here

Should I gloss varnish the green blade of the weapon??

Good work, that pouch he got hanging from his waist, perhaps a tutorial of that? Didnt gw have a tut for that on their page, probably gone when they remade the site..

It from the Grave Guards from the Undead range, cutting off the knife.

I really like it,the red on the chapter symbol and the the green force weapon look really great.

Yep my main colour :P Just green work well for Power Weapons with a green wash over it. Red I just like useing it as a mute colour for the chapter icon & work well. Base, I think might be the way static gress, just there ment to be some slate scatter about might not be seen. Just Mk1 slate was a bit to big & = models breaking off.

I like the runes you put on the parchment thing. A wonderful insult to the enemy that still looks like it should be there.

I almost did something similar with my plan to name a tank "Tua Mater", Latin High Gothic for "Your Mother" :) .

What was the casting hand done from?

Terminators Librarian, but you can use the Sanguinary Guard kit as well

I love your work on the runic axe. Very striking!

Thanks, just started with the blade being black but highlight it with Dark Angels Green, Snot Green & then Scorpian Green. Then give it the green wash to tint the Blacken Blade, had to re-highlight with Scorpian green to bring out the edge a bit more.

I would say yes. As the axe currently is it looks more like a neon sign than a weapon that reaps souls. Before you get upset let me explain. The green is only along the edges and the runes of the weapon. While this makes a good neon sign it does not convey the feeling that the weapon is glowing with fearsome energy, but is simply adorned with glowing glass tubes. By washing the blade green it should help break up this effect and give the glowing weapon of doom I think you were trying for.

It also doesn't help that it is a space wolf and the blade is the correct height to be a sign over a doorway. I don't know futhark, but that doesn't say tavern now does it? :P

But this is only my $0.02, my own opinion.

Beards for the beard god.
