Grimtooth
I want a 2hr, full theater release of a rated R Space Wolves feature film. Here is the kicker, I want it animated. I just don't think that all the gore, special effects, and feel can be done in a live action film. I don't want I anime or CGI, just a good animated movie of the Space Wolves with all the grimdark that goes with it. Guest Triszin
i'd only like this if the movie is about the cadian invasion of the warp when the 13 th co. that saved the day. it would be an awesome horror, guard film ending with the horror of the 13th company that even the demons flee... Grimtooth
I really don't what story of the Space Wolves legend they told as long as they did it without toning it down for kiddies. Hardcore rated R horror of the warp, cauterizing melta shots to the chest, grimdark movie!! Yea, I wish I had the skills so i could submit a story board. Zynk Kaladin
Well, technically it should be rated NC-17 if we REALLY wanted to get into it... Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/212737-what-i-want/#findComment-2530982 Share on other sites
Grimtooth
Well, technically it should be rated NC-17 if we REALLY wanted to get into it... I thought there had to be a good amount of sex to to get a nc17. I would be happy with a nice violent R rating. Weapons of Warhammer 40k meet Kill Bill/Saving Private RyanHostel/Saw. Plenty of room for Chaos daemons ala old Hellraiser flicks some Constantine visions of hell for visions of the warp. The source material is rich. Much richer then the Ultramarine rubbish that is planned. Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/212737-what-i-want/#findComment-2530987 Share on other sites
Grey Mage
Id be fine with CGI... it would just have to be Avatar level CGI. Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/212737-what-i-want/#findComment-2530998 Share on other sites
Grimtooth
Id be fine with CGI... it would just have to be Avatar level CGI. But then I would have to deal with James Cameron taking credit for the best Space Wolves movie ever. Ever see the first Species? It would less hot chick, more scary daemon. Requiem of the Wolf
Well I dont know...Parts of the first Species were pretty hot...I mean just sayin.. Anyways...I think to do it justice it would have to be animated. And you would have to go to Japan to get the best Animators..If only Pixar had a bigger, uglier, meaner older brother then that would be perfect for doing it.Pixars creativity and skill, with a 40k feel... Grey Mage
Try germany... they had a 40k movie along the lines your talking about, but got shut down for IP issues- wich are very, very weird in germany. Bulldogging
I would not like the wolves to be set in stone like that, let them be what we all think they are. Grimtooth
I would not like the wolves to be set in stone like that, let them be what we all think they are. We have a codex and rules that we have to play by to play Space Wolves so how much would a movie change what you already think how they are? If anything it would expand upon your impression of them while also allowing you to keep your close-minded view of them if you choose. Afterall, no one would force you to go watch it. Max_Dammit
the last HH book did not give a nice picture of the wolves, and a movie could make it even worse. We are known as the true protectors of mankind, and a movie the way its described here would not enforce this. Grimtooth
Thousands Sons was written from the view of....................the Thousand Sons! And nothing prevents them from being "true protectors" but reality of war, ESPECIALLY the grimdark of 40K is not going to roses and perfume. If you want that, maybe the Ultra movie would fit you better........LOL! Max_Dammit
There is no way to make my point on this, i just hope they never make a Spacewolf movie let that glory go to the glory boys. Grey Mage
I think what Max is saying is that we all have different variances in what we think a SW is- I for one, have my GC painted up in the light blue that is SW Grey, with red shoulders on the GC symbol. MY SWs talk in scottish accents, despite all the norse influences, and are a bit goofy at times- because its how they deal with war.... its an honor, and the scary parts are just kind of a twisted joke. Have you seen all the crap the pops up when someone gets something wrong about Star Trek- like the last movie, wich had alot of trekkies really upset despite the fact that most people liked the movie? Have you read teh canon arguments that plague every single peice of starwars trivia- they make the 'is the BL canon???' debates look like a disagreement over how much sugar to put in your coffee. A movie very likely would bring all this crud into our community, wich is something that many would like to avoid. Atleast, Im pretty sure he meant something like that. MaveriK
every brush stroke put in my space wolf models is a movie on its own. every time i field my space wolves against my opponent is a movie on its own. every time i roll the dice, saying "FOR RUSS" is a movie on its own! every time i read through the codex, flip through the pages, through all the art, from all the space wolf novels.. it ignites imagination that no animator or movie production company can never duplicate. For we are the sons of Russ, and we represent that everyday. Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/212737-what-i-want/#findComment-2531581 Share on other sites

Karack Blackstone
Our Codex allows different paint schemes, so why can't the Great Companies depicted vary in color of armor? Isn't the base color important but after that who cares, was the impression I got. (I do speak somewhat directly of the armor being blue-ish, but other than that, it's not important.) Otherwise, I'd love an NC-17 or AO (Adults Only) Space Wolves movie. Only thing is, if it were Avatar-level CGI, who would voice our various leaders and the Marines shown? Christopher Walken, who would he play, if anyone? There are a myriad of questions relating to all this, including why the Ultras over us? Guilliman and his boys are all duty and honor. When some sections of the Imperium after the Emperor was entombed on the Golden Throne demand unswerving loyalty to their methods, why give it? That's another thread likely but I bring it up because I'm curious why GW is pushing the most duty-bound chapter, and not the most human and human-loving chapter. I mean, we drink and tell stories. Ultras are about pious reflections. Which would you pick for your downtime? Edit: Double "the" for the win! (yeah right...) Chapter Master Ignis Domus
Hey, if the Ultramarines get movie, we should, too. I would hate for them to be that awful blue color. We aren't babies, we're Wolves! I think they should do a CGI one, but only if they have Avatar level graphics. I think they should go into more detail with the companies and add in some shipboard combat.
