Drudge Dreadnought
Does anyone know a good tutorial for this?
Tanhausen
If you mean fire coming out of the jump packs... they're quite easy. Basically a heavy dry brush inside the "turbine", going from red to very light yellow. I'll try to post a pic somethime this weekend.
XVRogue
There are a couple ways to do it. As said by Tanhausen, if you want a red hot style, paint the whole area inside black. You'll want to use white/yellow in the very center of the holes and then work your way through orange on the lips of the surrounding metal to red in the center of the bars. This will give the impression that the hottest is also the deepest area and it's super heating the metal around it. You can follow this logic with any color band, going from white through blue for a "plasma-cutter" feel, etc. If you want to get super fancy you'll want to read articles on OSL (Object Source Lightning) and use the techniques described there on the turbine and the surrounding lip of the outside casing.
