Making a armor runic with greenstuff?

Please tell me Runic Armor does not need to be modeled for that WYSIWYG rule.

I've had no problems telling my opponent when HQ so and so has it for the game but I am wondering about the rule... or guideline or whatever it is.

that depends on how your local gaming group is if they follow the WYSIWYG rule strictly then yes if they don't then you are good to go.

Hmm, strictly yes eh? I guess the fall back option if I am ever challenged is to draw some runes on a piece of a post it note and stick it on the model. :thanks:

Hes joking. I hope.

Seriously, its no different then Artificer armor- runes might be scrawled all over the outside, or they might be where the armor sections connect and thus be invisible to the normal user.

I'm not. There is no way I am going to make two versions of the same HQ, one with runic armor and one with power armor, just for the few random anal retentive folks out there. Maybe instead of the post it runes, I can give the HQ a comic book speech bubble with the words "I has Runes" written inside.

Oh and while this may be obvious, I didn't state it - of course I would tell my opponent ahead of time about the runic armor (with runes so small they can 't be seen). I wouldn't wait for him to rush the HQ or anything lame like that.

Not you. ;). I was talking about Postal.

Okay I have to chime in on this one. Raised runes are impressive but I dn't think they are "necessary". Armor in general is relatively smooth and curved to allow for the properties to delfect kinetic energy from incoming projectiles. Raised runes are more ornate but would negate some of those protective properties that armor generally provides. I like the idea that the armor is "enchanted" and the runes glow when activated and does not reduce it's ablative capabilities with raised runes.

Those with sculpting prowess may disagree with me and those with painting prowess may agree more strongly with me. In either case, however you model it it still provides the same protection from your opponents dice be it sculpted ot painted.
