Quixus
On the transfer sheets included in the Tactical and Assault Squad Boxes there are symbols that look suspiciously like Blood Angels Squad markings: White Skulls for Squads 1 and 2, Yellow Lightning Bolt on Black for Squad 7. However they look way too large to fit on the knee pads, they are more sized for shoulder pads. Do they shrink or am I missing something? Gurth
They don't shrink, and yes, that makes many of them too large for use on kneepads. Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/212924-gw-transfer-sheets/#findComment-2533076 Share on other sites
SCC
Those decals can be used for a variety of purposes including squad markings and as army or campaign badges too. They're typically placed on the shoulder pad or the greave/leg of most Marines like so: That's a FW number decal but the theory is the same, this link will show you another Marine with a greave decal, this time more to the side of the leg. Unfortunately decals don't normally shrink which does make the ones you're talking about a touch big for knee pads, you can fit them on there but it'd take a lot of work to get them to adhere smoothly to most of the various knees there are so I'd stick to bigger, flatter areas if I were you. Kurgan the Lurker
Check out the Blood Angel Company decal sheets in our downloads area. They have decals for knee pads on them. :) Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/212924-gw-transfer-sheets/#findComment-2533192 Share on other sites
Quixus
Thanks for the tips. Now I just have to find out where to get those sheets cheaply in Germany.
