nurglez Posted October 11, 2010 Share Posted October 11, 2010 Right, Having moved to the heart of the west end, london (I live and work 5 min from GW plaza, thats gonna be bad for my wallet) and having more disposable income, I have bought a box of chaos termies, space wolf termies, and 6 assault on black reach termies from my good friend vlad, including 1 sergant. I am hoping to at least de sprue and sort out how i want my models, while defacing/removing symbols, though Im not sure what sorta symbology i want so if i wanted a wolf or fox, i could keep some of the space wolf stuff i guess (unlikely though, we shall see). I'm basically starting my own renegade chaptor/legion, letting me work on stuff from the SW codex to represent their behavior recently after their split, and stuff from the chaos codex to represent them as they are now, thinking of going for purple with sliver trim, going rusted/bronzing for the chaos part, or even veterans/upgrades. mutations go for mark of wolfen, nurglings could be wolves ^^ Expect to see more, i do have a slightly shoddy digital camera, should probably buy a new one. Its not perfect but its good enough for me :D No pictures yet as I need to borrow my friend's camera again but my khornate lone wolf/arjac stand in is finished, apart from his base. nurglez Posted November 20, 2010 Author Share Posted November 20, 2010 Thanks :( I painted that typhus about 5-6 years ago (i think) and used a very limited range of paints (chaos black, goblin green, skull white, mithril silver and flesh wash) and am very happy with him, so thanks, My "wolves count as" will be purple, black and silver/bronze/gold with white helms I think, still need to paint one of them to finalise the scheme, painting isn't my main joy of this hobby but I would love to have a table top worthy army for once -_- Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
nurglez Posted January 13, 2011 Author Share Posted January 13, 2011 Right, just a quick update for lpc. while painting hasn't happened much, and I still don't have a digital camera B) I have bought a fair amount of stuff and glued it together (31 termies, 1 twc lord, 6 twc with their riders in varying stages of completeness). For my LPC I am aiming to paint Sleipnir, 5 termies and 3 berzerkers riding juggers. Sleipnir is under coated, still needs the barrels drilled out for his bolters. the 5 termies just need their barrels drilled out too, and 2 of the riders need back packs and arms. nurglez Posted January 18, 2011 Author Share Posted January 18, 2011 I, Nurglez of the Liber Astartes, vow on the honour of my Chapter to paint and present at least logan count as, 5 terminators and 3 thunderwolf cavalry count as of the Turple Purtle's on or before the 31st of March, 2011. I promise to provide at least two WIP updates, preferably with pictures, in that time. I vow that if I should fail, I will provide the Librarium with an article and wear the Signature of Shame until my penitence period is done. Right, I have started work cleaning up the 5 man squad, drilling out barrels (a first for me) and trying to get rid of mould lines etc, these guys are almost ready to paint. I have also bought some chain, so once I have constructed a few more arms (holding on to chains) I shall work towards getting my TWC/Juggers ready, still not sure what scheme I'm going for on my khorne hired help though... Aim is to get a few things in my army up to table top quality, so I might then actually paint the rest of my force. my warband leader Slepnir has been base coated and inked, ready for me to start applying light details. I'm still figuring it out, and it has washed out some of the colours but its enough to show roughly what state my guys are in.
