GET SOME PAINT ON THESE GUYS lol I'm going to my mates hopefully monday/tuesday so I'll get some pics of the 3 badly painted marines that I've done so far. I have however assembled the remaining tac marines and 2 more sternguard. I'll get some photos of these later! Grizzly_bear
Aaaah paint....these are really nice, you've really captured the dark blue tone of the CFs...the only thing I would say is thin out the extreme highlights in terms of width and placement. But all in all these are great... Leonidus
Thanks guys for the praise!! They are the first minis that I have painted in over 8 years and have been a massive learning curve for me. I've just stocked up on some black primer so there will be more to follow this coming week. Aaaah paint....these are really nice, you've really captured the dark blue tone of the CFs...the only thing I would say is thin out the extreme highlights in terms of width and placement. But all in all these are great... Thanks DF! I'm currently using a GW Detail brush for the line highlights. I think I will try maybe a thinner brush and "cut back" the highlights with the base colour to thin them out for the next batch. Next on the assembly line is 2 rhinos and the las plas razorback. Im just waiting on some more Forgeworld goodies!!!! Leonidus
Very nice. Your Fists are looking tight! Thank you very much sir! I am working a lot at the moment so I hope to get some more painting done before the end of next week. Looking very cool B) What blue did you use? Ludovic Thank you! The blue is super simple: Necron Abyss Line highlight with ultramarines Blue Heavy Asurmen blue wash If anything needs more shading i hit it with a a bit of badab in the recesses. I rely heavily on the current GW washes and foundation paints. They are amazing! Leonidus
*UPDATE!!!* After a long time away I finally managed to make some time for paiting. I painted my counts as Cassius (as of yet un-named) chaplain for a painting competition at my local GW. I didn't place but it got me to paint it so good times!!! Heres some (bad) pics of him: http://i.imgur.com/Xq4fQ.jpg http://i.imgur.com/631Zk.jpg I have also nearly finished the first squad and will be updating in the next week or so. Thanks!
