Maybe we should have a CF project building war lol

Will you be running alot of sternguard or only a few small squads?

One small squad in the 1000pts list

Expanding it a tad and adding terminators for the 1500!

I am currently building my scout squad and I have done some work on my counts as Telion.

He is very WIP and he still needs tidying up and decorating with a purity seal and what not

What do you think? Is he decent enough for a counts as? Is his gun good enough for WYSIWYG?

Thanks!

I'm pretty sure he's fine as a Telion, not even really counts-as either, he has the right armament, is a scout, wearing the right stuff, he's just not the official figure!

I meant "counts as" as he is CF and not a smurf.

More progress

I have decided that I am going to build all the rest of the army before I commence the painting so I made a start by putting my Terminator Serg together.

Check it out!

Looking good - I like the fist-halo. Nice touch. :)

Cheers brother!! I realise iron halos are reserved generally for captains but i felt like he needed some stature. I guess he could always double up as a captain if needs be!

Nice to see you back again Mate, really liking the termie sargent.

how's your scouts coming on?

Rob

Thanks Rob! Scouts havent really gone anywhere. Might get them built after the termies. I've got a bit more hobby time at the moment so I hope to get them assembled within the next couple of weeks. I might attempt to do them as my LPC vow! Never done one before! Your Fists are looking powerful dude!

they're looking lovely mate - can't wait to see the sarge finished.

I do hope you're joking about wanting to strip these. They are everything I love to see in an army.

Thanks for your comments guys!!

I just had a couple days off which I spent building bits of plastic/metal/resin and generally being an idiot at my mates house.

Heres a few pics of what got done:

Some termies (basing needs finishing on these guys):

Looks good. What're you using for the stones you men stand on?

The stones are from a company called Gale Force Nine. The product is rubble mix. Its made from real concrete i think. It comes in a tub wth all different bits and sizes and I just break off pieces in the sizes that I need.

Thanks

Really liking these poses, the SG sgt is a really nice pose.

I see you went for the FW shoulder pads on the termies, I really like them bit I feel they are over powering against the plastic sprue parts from GW.

Really looking forward to seeing these painted up

Cheers guys. The SG serg is probably my favourite model in the army! Hes gonna be fun to paint.

I'm into the forgeworld parts for the termies dude! Im using a lot of forgeworld parts in this army and all my marines have raised shoulder pads so I hope they fit in ok!

Still to build:

.Sniper scouts

.Librarian

.Rhinos

.Second half of the second tac squad

.Attack bikes

.Predators

Hope to get them built in the next few weeks. so that I can start painting in March. Might invest in an airbrush for base coating. Anyone know of any decent, cheapish airbrushes?

Cheers

There's an airbrush seller on eBay £80 and it's a really good airbrush mate. Some thing I may ask, do or will you be painting your models sepretly, I.e. Each arm, shoulder pad etc?

Rob

I paint them generally all as one piece. The term serg power sword arm is separate and i tend to leave bolters and back packs off for painting.

Im gonna have a look through ebay see what i can find

Cheers

Alas!

Real life got in the way and I ended up selling off all the minis I had built.

I am returning to the world of 40K again though and will be starting a Raven Guard log as soon as I get this list built!!!

Thanks for the love for my CF!
