Charred Heretic
There used to be a sticky for a great, 3 -page piece of writing called something like "Water Warrior" by Silent Requiem. It was probably the best 40k read I ever saw. I'd love to show it to a friend who is getting into GKs. Anyone got it, or a link? Algesan
Each of the four elements represents a style/philosophy of approaching combat. Few people or armies are simply an expression of one pure element, as nothing in life is that simple. However, understanding yourself in terms of these elements is useful, as playing an army that reflects your way of thinking makes the process more enjoyable (and more successful). It can also help you to understand your strengths and weaknesses as a player. This is the most important part of the entire elemental army writeup. SCC expressed it as elements and it works for him. He manages to cover the classic principles of warfare: The nine Principles of War, as defined in the US Army Field Manual FM-3 Military Operations: PRINCIPLE = DEFINITION Mass = Concentrate combat power at the decisive place and time Objective = Direct every military operation towards a clearly defined, decisive, and attainable objective Offensive = Seize, retain, and exploit the initiative Surprise = Strike the enemy at a time, at a place, or in a manner for which he is unprepared Economy = Allocate minimum essential combat power to secondary efforts Maneuver = Place the enemy in a position of disadvantage through the flexible application of combat power Unity = For every objective, ensure unity of effort under one responsible commander Security = Never permit the enemy to acquire an unexpected advantage Simplicity = Prepare clear, uncomplicated plans and clear, concise orders to ensure thorough understanding Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/213104-water-warrior-by-silent-requiem/#findComment-2536468 Share on other sites
