Storm Wardens

Hi all, long time reader first time poster. I am getting back into the hobby after a five year hiatus. I bought Deathwatch and fell in love with grimdark all over again. Would it offend you if a army made out of mostly space marines and a few scibor minitures celts was used in the space wolves codex? I have been doing some lurker and on some other sites it seems that using wolf rules without the wolf minis is considerd cheesy.

If that's what you want to do, do it and don't worry about what anyone else has to say. Don't let other peoples' pointless opinions (including my own) prevent you from having fun.

Besides, it fits the background of the Storm Wardens Chapter. :)

As Brother Tyler said, it's all up to you and that's the great thing about this hobby.

I personally wanted my wolves to be a bit different to everyone else's and move away from the 'space viking' theme and went for 'space celts' myself. I gave my guys woad, welsh-sounding names (since I moved to Wales to go back to uni) and plan to put some celtic style patterns on my tanks/dreads.

Just as a warning though, I've bought some scibor stuff myself. The shields are great, I've used them on my TWC Wolf Lords as storm shields, but the shoulder pads are not. Sadly he fails to mention on the website that the shoulder pads are made for 'true-scale' marines and not actual marines. I found that out after they arrived and wasn't too happy considering they were about five quid a set.
