Wow. It's been a long time, but here I am actually posting something on this forum.

 

 

Have some WIP shots of my first Space Marine in over a year, and what will probably become my DIY Chapter Master. He still needs a name.

Looks great man, but remove the mould lines! Also, what body did you use for the second guy?

Cheers. I keep forgetting to deal with them pesky mould lines.

I keep telling myself that nobody can see them at tabletop level anyway, it's not like I model stuff to win awards. :P

 

 

The body is from an old (3rd ed?) metal Black Templars marshal. I think.

 

I got the body second hand, but it rang a bell, I'm fairly certain the model originally had a combi-melta and axe.

Scheme looks good, the blue really stands out well. Maybe a different colour for the chest Aquila though?

 

Really like the Marshal/CM too, a very nice conversion, although I must say that he's giving off more of a Chaplain vibe, what with the Crozius-looking weapon and what could be a Rosarius round his neck?

 

 

Well worth taking a minute or two to sort the mold lines, I'm not the world's best painter but I know if I leave them it really bugs me later and can even ruin an otherwise ok paint job!

 

Good stuff, lets see more!!
