Skirax
Their Great Company's symbol, and a couple of runes. That's how I did mine. Maybe make a personal symbol for your Rune Priest. Wysten
Is the great company symbol always that of the great wolf though? Considering they are only lent out. That being said, planning on putting on runes later, but the skull with the scroll from the starter pack seems to call out Rune Priest for me, just attach some bits to make him more rune priest like. S. Bloodhowl
I always assumed they took up the symbol of their assigned company as they may be with them for years in a campaign, as for the other pad I just did some personal heraldry Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/213342-rune-priest-shoulder-pads/#findComment-2538436 Share on other sites

Black, or a similar shade of whatever their Great Company is. For example, I heavily washed Bubonic Brown (Ragnar's) with Badab Black to make the GS'd runes appear more "glowy". slmellon
I would have to agree with Wysten...the left shoulder is the Wolf who Stalks and then, like others have said, I would go with some personal heraldry on the right. Seeing as he is a HQ you could do whatever on that side. But I'm pretty sure all WPs and RPs are in the Great Wolf's Company and like it was said "on loan," even if it is for decades or more, they still 'belong' to Logan. Wysten
I always assumed they took up the symbol of their assigned company as they may be with them for years in a campaign, as for the other pad I just did some personal heraldry I guess, but at the same time, Rune Priests are not like other Space Wolves as they are generally sombar charcters. They don't drink or go crazy, they just are very wise guys that seek their own company and are imparcial. They bare an allience to Russ only (with Logan being the next best thing. I feel they don't really belong to him either in that sense, just that they will either do as said, disagree and tell him what he should do, or one will volenteer themself to join X great company and Logan will accept their supernatural judgement.) and don't care much for pride or the structure that each Wolf Lord puts fourth, just they serve the entirety of the Space Wolves in general. Plus I like the banner of the great wolf. Heheh I guess theres no right or wrong though, just the way I see it. Blackmane
From what I know from the 2nd ed. SW codex, all of the priests (and the dreads) belong to the GWs GC from which they are 'lend' to the other GC and as such they should keep the totem of the GW. By keeping it you get more flavour on ya models and my plan is to unify them with the rest of the army through an armybadge. But you can of course device fluff for them taking up the 'new' totem Cheers -Frizze Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/213342-rune-priest-shoulder-pads/#findComment-2547720 Share on other sites
